The player starts behind a row of [[Question Block]]s, with the tenth and eleventh Question Block from the left containing a [[Fire Flower]], and the rest containing a [[Goomba]]. Two [[Spiny]] towers are placed on the row of blocks, with the leftmost one being three Spinies high and the rightmost one being ten Spinies high. The player is unable to jump over the final Spiny tower, and therefore must [[Ground Pound]] any Question Block containing a Fire Flower to drop it onto a [[Conveyor]] belt, which will carry the Fire Flower to a [[Trampoline]], bouncing it through a bridge and onto the starting platform. The player should use the Fire Flower to transform into [[Fire Mario]], and defeat the Spinies, granting access to the [[Goal Pole]].
