Hello. I am a MarioWiki editor who specializes in the main series of games, Donkey Kong Country, WarioWare, and Paper Mario. I also really like Mario & Luigi, but it's a shame that they never made any more games after Bowser Jr.'s Journey. The main things I do here involve uploading high-quality screenshots, getting foreign names (primarily Spanish), and completing media lists. I've also more recently been adding to music/sound effect pages and digging up obscure information on the modern Paper Mario games.

If you need or frequently use something, don't leave Discord as your only way of accessing it. It is not a permanent storage solution. Back things up on your hard drive. Do not only share files through Discord.

Go see my big foreign name lists I'm working on implementing and sourcing, sandbox with legal useful tools and resources you can get for free, other sandbox which is mostly giant lists.

Current projects

  • More dub edits? I like seeing how things change between translations and the RPGs have a lot of interesting cases where they translated jokes to work better in certain languages, missed the point and mistranslated it, or just made things different. Like how the Spanish translators added a plug for the Nintendo 3DS in Paper Mario: Color Splash.
  • Going very in-depth on the recurring track and sound effect pages to find obscure usages. WarioWare, Taiko, the Animal Crossing crossovers, and NES Remix are full of undocumented uses. Plus diving into obscure games/software like Super Mario Collection Screen Saver and unpopular ones like Mario is Missing!. Will use user:LadySophie17/Curated_List_of_Games for this because it doesn't have 192736 lost media web games and Burger King toys.
  • Should Origami King moves get their own pages? (You may say no but I know how overly convoluted this game is on the inside and how it uses RNG damage based on how many enemies are attacking and also there are an excessive amount of really in-depth and niche interactions only 0.2 percent of players have ever seen and also the game straight up lies about some of its attacks (because no, Nipper Plants cannot breathe fire despite what the museum tells you) and also we have enemy attacks that weren't discovered for 5 years so maybe we should talk about that)
  • Sound tests! Personally, I love them. Make sure every game that has one has it covered and that Category:Names in other languages covers them.
  • Adjust "music names in other languages" pages to merge identical cells. Also make more of them! I did The Thousand-Year Door, Color Splash, The Origami King, and Dream Team, there's definitely some more I can do. Google Sheets has an easy way to compare if two cells are identical so I use that.
  • Quick note, I like the idea of having a "hidden" tracks page for music in a game but not on the sound test. Something like what Deltarune Wiki has. This may be a thing with the game soundtrack article revamp.
  • Hotel Mario script and other such "game script" pages.
  • Adding enemy resistances and such for Sticker Star and The Origami King.
  • Glowing spot data for Origami King.
  • Organizing the tracks for an individual game, figuring out which ones already have coverage or should be merged/are rearrangements, is hard. So I'm gonna start off with doing a Music section in the navbox for each game, which is easily noticeable and will indicate which tracks should be grouped together, and which have pages. If I overlook anything (i.e. a track being a rearrangement), it can be easily fixed. There is a proposal being written up to address this so I might hold on it, but having the stuff pre-written is also helpful because people can add to it and I don't think we'd remove any of this information for a full soundtrack article.
  • Media lists will be higher priority now that we're doing the songs for each game. The RPGs are all covered pretty well, except Super Mario RPG and its remake, Paper Mario 64, and Brothership. I'm not familiar enough with Super Mario RPG to help out on that, but I like PM64, so that could be fun. Brothership I have no plans to do.
  • Upload high quality screenshots
  • The later levels of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker have really low-res images. Even just tagging them for now could help. NSMBU and NSLU have some as well I'm pretty sure.
  • For Super Mario Maker 2, uploading editor icons. Most of these are uploaded now but there's still a few.
  • There still needs to be a final check of Donkey Kong Country/Donkey Kong Land level pages to ensure they have all the images they need.
  • The Yoshi's Island games should have a list and location of the Smiley Flowers in each level, like the New Super Mario Bros. games have. Red Coins would be important to include too.
  • Super Mario World should list the Yoshi Coin locations because they're required for 100% in the GBA remake.
  • The enemy appearances per level in different games are a good idea and we should make sure they're included where they should be.
  • Pi'illo lists are currently using a transcluding system, see how it works on Neo Bowser Castle. I think this is a great idea for these kinds of lists because they make them easier to manage -- you only need to edit them in one place. Should be applicable to other lists, mainly for the RPG games.
