Hotel Mario script

This is a script for the game Hotel Mario.

Opening

[Mario and Luigi walk towards a gate with "Mushroom Kingdom" written on it. Bowser looks out from behind the bushes and laughs evilly.]
Mario: Nice of the princess to invite us over for a picnic, eh, Luigi?
Luigi: I hope she made lots of spaghetti!
Mario: Luigi, look! [Mario points off-screen, and Luigi turns to look. Wooden boards with "Klub Koopa Rezsort" have been nailed over a gate, and a letter is taped to the door. Mario takes the letter down.] It's from Bowser! [reading the letter] "Dear pesky plumbers: The Koopalings and I have taken over the Mushroom Kingdom! The princess is now a permanent guest at one of my seven Koopa hotels! I dare you to find her if you can!" [stops reading, to Luigi] We gotta find the princess!
Luigi: [pointing to the camera] And you gotta help us!
Mario: If you need instructions on how to get through the hotels, check out the enclosed instruction book.
[The screen fades to black. The gameplay begins.]

Morton's Wood Door Hysteria Hotel

[Mario and Luigi approach Morton's Wood Door Hysteria Hotel.]
Mario: Looks kinda peaceful.
Luigi: Looks are deceiving when Koopas are involved!
[Luigi gives a boost to Mario, sending him up into Morton's Wood Door Hysteria Hotel. The screen fades to black. Stage 1 begins.]

Roy's HardBrick Hotel

After defeating Morton

[Morton is kicked out of his Wood Door Hysteria Hotel, leading him running away. Mario and Luigi jump out of the hotel, and it ends up sprouting apples. Princess Toadstool stands on a branch, trying to get one of the apples.]
Mario: Hey, princess!
[The branch breaks apart, and the princess falls down.]
Princess Toadstool: Oh!
[Roy takes Princess Toadstool away and escorts her into his HardBrick Hotel, where the lights continuously flicker on and off inside. Roy runs up the exterior's wall with the princess in his hands.]
Luigi: How are we gonna find the princess with the power going out?
Mario: Maybe there's a switch in one of the rooms! Remind me to check.
[The Mario Bros. head to Roy's HardBrick Hotel. The screen fades to black. Stage 1 begins.]

After entering a specific room

[Mario finds a large number of toasters that are causing the lights to flicker repeatedly.]
Mario: Aha! Here's the problem; too many toasters! [Some power outlets end up creating sparks. Mario grabs a bag of Bowser's Sourpuss Bread.] You know what they say: "All toasters toast toast!"
[Mario unplugs the power outlets, and the toasters end up releasing a large amount of toast. The lights in Roy's HardBrick Hotel are finally back to normal. The screen fades to black. The gameplay continues.]

Larry's Chillton Hotel

[Mario and Luigi are seen putting a condemned sign in Roy's HardBrick Hotel, with the former hammering a nail and the latter holding a sign.]
Mario: That oughta do it!
[Princess Toadstool is standing on a pipe, only to be sucked down into it.]
Princess Toadstool: Whoa!
Mario: Where'd she go? [Luigi points off-screen. The entrance to Larry's Chillton Hotel is witnessed, with "Larry's Cave Hotel" and "This Mine Is Mine" being read. The Mario Bros. arrive at Larry's hotel.] Gee, it's kinda dark...
Luigi: You bring a light?
Mario: No.
Luigi: Well, maybe a Koopa will lend us his! If we "persuade" him.
[The Mario Bros. enter Larry's Chillton Hotel. The screen fades to black. Stage 1 begins.]

Warp

[Mario approaches a Warp Pipe that is about to suck him in.]
Mario: Uh-oh! [Mario gets sucked into the pipe and ends up tumbling through it, sending him in another hotel.] Where am I?
[The screen fades to black. Any stage the player has been warped into begins.]

Lemmy's High-ate Regency Hotel

After defeating Larry

[Mario and Luigi escape Larry's Chillton Hotel. The hotel explodes, and Princess Toadstool is seen flying out of it.]
Princess Toadstool: Mariooooo...!
Mario: Get ready to catch her!
[The princess is nowhere to be found, and an ! Block is placed near the Mario Bros.]
Luigi: She's not coming down!
[Mario points upward.]
Mario: She's up there! [Clouds uncover Lemmy's High-ate Regency Hotel. Luigi kicks the ! Block, and a vine sprouts out of it. The Mario Bros. hang on to the vine.] It's hard to see through those clouds. I hope we can get rid of 'em! Get the hint?
[The vine sprouts into the sky above, and the Mario Bros. enter Lemmy's hotel. The screen fades to black. Stage 1 begins.]

After entering a specific room

[Mario finds a switch, and what reads "I'm your biggest fan" is placed above it.]
Mario: Aha!
[Mario presses the switch, leading a massive fan blowing all the clouds away. The screen fades to black. The gameplay continues.]

Ludwig's Thump Castle Hotel

After defeating Lemmy

[Mario, Luigi and Princess Toadstool leave Lemmy's High-ate Regency Hotel. The massive fan switches on, and Lemmy gives chase.]
Mario: Hey, you! Get off of my cloud! [The fan manages to blow Lemmy and his hotel away. Abruptly, the princess magically evanesces.] It's been one of those days... Come on, Luigi! [The Mario Bros. go down the vine and head to Ludwig's Thump Castle Hotel, and "Ludwig's Castle Hotel" is read on the entrance.] We ain't afraid of no Koopas!
[The entrance door vanishes.]
Luigi: Whoa!
[The entrance door reappears.]
Mario: Hurry!
[The screen fades to black. Stage 1 of Ludwig's Thump Castle Hotel begins.]

After entering a specific room

[Mario is at a bathroom now. Inside is a sink, a broken mirror, three cobwebs, and two drawers, with one of the lattermost not only attached to one of the webs, but also containing a bottle of Bowser's Ghost Cologne and a container of medicine.]
Mario: Aha! Maybe this will keep that lizard king from playing with the doors!
[Mario grabs the scent and sprays it in his mouth, rendering the doors back to normal. The screen fades to black. The gameplay continues.]

Wendy's Blitz Snarlton Hotel

After defeating Ludwig

[Mario and Luigi escape Ludwig's Thump Castle. The hotel ends up being ruined as it falls into pieces, leaving only a frame.]
Mario: Spooky... [There is still no sign of Princess Toadstool.] Where's the princess?
[Luigi points off-screen.]
Luigi: Over there! [The Mario Bros. approach Wendy's Blitz Snarlton Hotel.] Look! Wendy's hotel!
Mario: [pointing to the camera] Be careful! When you pinch Wendy's pennies, they pinch back!
[The screen fades to black. Stage 1 of Wendy's Blitz Snarlton Hotel begins.]

After entering a specific room

[Mario approaches a large piggy bank and uses his hammer to shatter it, causing it to release coins.]
Mario: So this is where Wendy hid the real coins!
[The screen fades to black. The gameplay continues.]

Bowser's Seizures Palace Hotel

[Mario and Luigi leave Wendy's Blitz Snarlton Hotel.]
Mario: That wasn't so hard, was it?
[Wendy's hotel disappears. Princess Toadstool approaches the Mario Bros.]
Princess Toadstool: Boys!
[The princess disappears as well, leaving a small cloud of smoke in sight as Bowser laughs evilly.]
Luigi: That's that creepy Bowser's laugh!
[Mario points off-screen.]
Mario: Look! [Smoke emanating from Bowser's Seizures Palace Hotel heads the Mario Bros.' direction, and the two approach the hotel.] This is it Luigi! [pointing to the camera] Remember, where there's smoke...
Luigi: [facing the player] ...There's fire!
[The Mario Bros. enter Bowser's Seizures Palace Hotel. The screen fades to black. Stage 1 begins.]

Ending

[Mario, Luigi and Princess Toadstool escape Bowser's Seizures Palace Hotel. When the hotel explodes, the landscape reverts to its normal state.]
Princess Toadstool: Thanks to you two, I can safely rule the Mushroom Kingdom, free from the terrible Koopaling clan.
Mario: Oo-hoo-hoo...
[The princess kisses Mario in the left cheek and then kisses Luigi in the right cheek.]
Luigi: Ahhh...
Princess Toadstool: And my thanks to you, too.
[The Mario Bros. and Princess Toadstool head off to their picnic spot where they wave at the player.]
Mario, Luigi, and Princess Toadstool: You're the best player ever!
[The screen fades to black. The gameplay concludes.]
