| Paper Mario description | The closer you get to Dry Dry Ruins, the faster it flashes. |
The Pulse Stone is a key item in Paper Mario. Depicted as a round, pink gemstone, Moustafa gives it to Mario and his partners so they can gain access to Dry Dry Ruins.
While Mario treks Dry Dry Desert, the stone will be displayed above his head, where it will flash and play a brief audible tone that repeats more frequently the closer he is to the location of Dry Dry Ruins. Once Mario finds the right location (found two areas east and three north of the area with Kolorado's camp), he must place it inside the sole rock found in the area, after which the ruins will rise out of the sand.
