  1. Please do not bite the newcomers! We were all newcomers once, and it is good for the wiki when a new user comes and becomes constructive. Of course, they'll make some errors and be ignorant of some wiki policy, but when you notice them making those errors, just politely notify them on their talk page, without using confusing wiki jargon. Remember to always assume good faith unless obviously otherwise when it comes to new users.
  2. Learn the rules, but don't live by them. Rules and wiki policies are simply guidelines. You don't need to follow it to a very strict point where a slight violation equates to some complete overhaul. Respect the rules, but if there's even a very slight infraction, don't impose them.
  3. Do not give vandals and trolls the attention they want. Don't take their vandalism personally. Just revert it with an edit summary containing either nothing or "reverting vandalism", notify an admin peacefully, and let them deal with it. It's better off forgetting about them than antagonizing them as it gives them the attention they want.
  4. Be bold Wikis love new ideas, and some articles you see are the results of bold users who take action and organize their ideas into life. Be one of them: it helps the wiki. However, if your change is a major overhaul, a proposal or a talk page proposal may be required.
  5. Don't take things personally. Reminders, Warnings, Last Warnings, and Blocks aren't meant to be personal attacks on you. They are here to help you understand your problems so you can learn from it and be a better wiki editor. No one will make fun of you for accumulating warnings, and the like. Some respected users here even has a bad record of them. Don't dwindle in the past, learn from them.
