Super Mario series[edit]

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]

  • Bios
    • Instruction manual: "This keeper of the Comet Observatory floats through the cosmos with curious star creatures called Lumas. Her past is shrouded in mystery."
    • Guide: "Not much is known about Rosalina, the lonely princess who wanders the cosmos in the Comet Observatory, a giant starship that travels the celestial expanse. She is a great friend of the Luma, taking them in and caring for them as if they were her children. But there is a sadness behind her eyes. What has she lost out among the stars?"
    • Trading card: "Rosalina's home is the Comet Observatory, a very important place that serves as the launching pad for all of Mario's adventures throughout the universe. She has an expansive knowledge of the universe and is known as a kind and motherly figure, especially to the Lumas-those cute little stars that she adopted who help Mario throughout his journey to save the princess."

Rosalina can pull in items and projectiles around her with her Gravitational Pull move. Her up special Launch Star is a diagonal jump and, though harmless, it has exceptional range. You also have some control over Rosalina's trajectory when she uses it. (American English)
With a flick of Rosalina's wand, the move Gravitational Pull draws in items – even ones that are stuck somewhere. Her Launch Star up special is a diagonal jump that can be aimed slightly. It doesn't deal any damage, but it helps you jump higher and stay in the air longer, making it ideal for getting back to the stage easily. (British English)

In Rosalina's Final Smash, she summons a Power Star above her head. It launches fighters who touch it and also fires a barrage of smaller stars in all directions, all the while growing bigger and bigger. Even if Rosalina falls off the stage right after activating it, the Power Star will keep attacking her foes until it finally explodes. (American English)

Palutena's Guidance[edit]

  • Palutena: And here we have Rosalina.
  • Viridi: Yes, she's the keeper of the Comet Observatory and mother of the Lumas.
  • Pit: Why is that comfy pillow following her? ...I love pillows!
  • Palutena: THAT is a Luma. And this is no pillow fight!
  • Viridi: It does look pretty plush, I have to say.
  • Pit: You know, Rosalina seems kind of rough with the little guy.
  • Viridi: There are plenty of Lumas, so losing a few isn't a big deal.
  • Pit: Not a big deal?!
  • Palutena: Lumas will sacrifice everything to protect Rosalina. They might not look like much, but they're powerful enough to send you flying, so be careful.

"Luma mimicks Rosalina's attacks. Luma also increases Rosalina's reach and can even take a hit for her! If Rosalina gets hit, Luma gets very flustered and flutters both hands."

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games[edit]

Flag Description (Wii U version)[edit]

Rosalina
A mysterious woman who travels aboard the Comet Observatory starship. She's taller than Peach and Daisy, and has an air of mystique about her. Having seen past Olympic Games at her observatory, she's finally decided to come enjoy the fun in person.

Miis' Dialogues (Wii U version)[edit]

  • Rosalina is really tall, isn't she? I bet that's helpful in events where having stature gives you an edge. I saw her practicing for Rhythmic Gymnastics — her elegant frame looked so lovely in its movements!
  • Rosalina's light blue dress looks great on her, but do you know what color her shoes are? Her skirt tends to cover them up so you can't tell. Well, turns out she's actually got silver shoes. How elegant, right? I mean, talk about classy!
  • Rosalina's a mysterious young lady who lives in the Comet Observatory. She apparently leads a calm, quiet life with the little star-shaped Lumas. She's very motherly and protective of the Lumas, and watches after them as they grow up. I'm kind of jealous!
