If the player goes to lvl 3-3 or 3-8 and lets Boss Bass jump out of the water after Mario or Luigi, the player should repeatedly press "start" while Boss Bass dives into the water and until his head pops up they should stop. If done correctly, Boss Bass doesn't hurt the plumbers but are still stuck inside and the player cannot escape except by exiting the level or restarting the game.

This is a list of glitches found exclusively in the game Super Mario Advance 4, a remake of Super Mario Bros. 3. For glitches found in the original Super Mario Bros. 3 or the version included in Super Mario All-Stars, and possibly Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 as well, see List of Super Mario Bros. 3 glitches.

To do this glitch, Mario or Luigi must have completed World 2-Pyramid. It will have a "completed" white icon, however, if Mario goes to the left, so that the level is off-screen and back, the icon will turn yellow.

To do this glitch, the player must hold L Button and R Button at the same time, and Mario/Luigi will run backward.

What happens if you lose Star power in Super Mario Advance 4.
