Template:Species-infobox Big Squeekly[1], also known as Mega Squeekly[citation needed] is the possible leader of the Squeeklies in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. It is a giant Squeekly that only appears in the level Crowded Cavern, along with the other members of the Squeekly family. The Donkey Kong Country Returns Prima guide implies that multiple Big Squeeklys exist in the level;[2] however, in the game, only one Big Squeekly can be seen on-screen at a time.

History

Donkey Kong Country Returns / Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

When Donkey and Diddy Kong enter Crowded Cavern, they find the Squeekly family sleeping quietly in the rocks. In order to progress through the cavern, however, the Kongs must use a nearby Rocket Barrel, which causes a loud noise that awakens the entire Squeekly Family. The Big Squeekly and the other Squeeklies then start to furiously chase and attack the Kongs throughout the level for awakening them from their sleep.

During the stage, the Big Squeekly proves to be very powerful, as it can destroy rocky walls with its head and also emit powerful sonic blasts to damage the Kongs. However, it is weak to crystals, and is knocked out by one near the end of the stage.
