Super Mario-kun Shageki Game is a target game released as furoku in the May 1987 issue of the Shōgaku Ichinensei magazine. The game resembles the exterior of a castle as they appear in Super Mario Bros. The game takes about 40 minutes to put together.[1] Like most furoku games, Super Mario-kun Shageki Game is made almost entirely out of cardboard.
Details[edit]
The game features a cardboard mock gun that players can use to shoot at cardboard pieces depicting two Goombas, a Koopa Troopa and a Koopa Paratroopa, and Bowser. Two additional cardboard pieces depicting Mario and Princess Peach appear to be located within the game's base. These pieces would presumably pop up after the player had shot all three of the other cardboard pieces.
