World 2 is the second world found in Super Mario Bros. The difficulty for this world is slightly higher than that of World 1. This is the first world to introduce an underwater level, as well as a seaside level.

World 2-1 | This level takes place in an area similar to World 1-1, with many pipes and enemies. This stage also introduces a Coin Heaven and jumping boards. |

World 2-2 | The first underwater level in the game, this level introduces Bloobers and Cheep-cheeps. |

World 2-3 | This level has the player run across a long bridge while avoiding Cheep-cheeps. |

World 2-4 | The castle level of World 2, which introduces Podoboos and features a green Koopa Troopa as the fake Bowser. |

Notes[edit]
- World 5-4 is the same as World 2-4, but with more Fire-Bars and Podoboos added. Likewise, Worlds 7-2 and 7-3 are the same as Worlds 2-2 and 2-3, but with more Bloobers and Koopa Troopas and Koopa Paratroopas added, respectively.
