The Pipe Frame is the standard kart used in Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart: Super Circuit and a customizable kart part in Mario Kart 7. It is a basic, go kart looking kart part. In the first three installments of the Mario Kart series, the Pipe Frame acted as the main standard kart. The abilities of the kart depended on the driver so the kart itself had no strong or weak points.
}}
Red Yoshies are a variety of Yoshi that first appeared in Super Mario World. Red Yoshi makes consistent appearances across the Yoshi series, often as a playable variant. It also appears in many Mario series games, either as a pallet swap for Yoshi or as an independent playable character.

Super Mario series
Super Mario World
Red Yoshi makes its debut in Super Mario World, where it first appears in Star World 1. Red Yoshies can spit fire, regardless of which color Koopa Shell they eat. This trait can be combined with the natural abilities granted by eating Blue Shells and Yellow Shells as well; granting flight with the Blue Shell and shock wave stomps with the Yellow Shell. Once Red Yoshi spits the shells out, they will always become fireballs, much like standard Red Shells. Red Yoshies can be found as Baby Yoshies in both Star Road 1 and Star World 4. Once they are fed enough, they will grow into full sized Red Yoshies.

In the Gameboy Advance port of the game, Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World, Red Yoshies can appear in place of Yoshi in other levels once it has been rescued in the Star World; should Mario be Fire Mario, a Red Yoshi will appear from ? Blocks instead.

Super Mario 64 DS
Red Yoshi appear in Super Mario 64 DS in the game's multiplayer VS. Battle mode. The second player of a VS. Battle will control a Red Yoshi.

New Super Mario Bros.
Red Yoshi appears in several minigames in New Super Mario Bros.. Much like Super Mario 64 DS, Red Yoshi appears in multiplayer, though this time, Red Yoshi represents player 1 instead. Red Yoshi appears in Balloon Racing and Snowball Slam. In Balloon Racing, Red Yoshi's saddle and back spines are also colored blue.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
While Red Yoshies are not present in the final version of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, they were planned to be in the game. In the final version, they were replaced by Pink Yoshies. There is early artwork of Blue Toad riding a Red Yoshi.

Super Mario Run
Red Yoshi was released in Super Mario Run in the version 2.0.0 update on March 22, 2017 as an unlockable character. Red Yoshi can be unlocked by purchasing Red Yoshi's House, which itself is unlocked by gathering a total of 9999 Toads, 1000 of which must be Yellow Toads. Red Yoshi is capable of obtaining more Red Toads.

Super Mario Maker 2
Red Yoshi appears as a course element in Super Mario Maker 2. Red Yoshi can be used by placing a Super Mushroom on a Yoshi Egg or by tapping and holding a Yoshi Egg and selecting a Red Yoshi Egg from the mini menu. Red Yoshi is only available in the Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. U themes and spits fireballs instead of extending its tongue. If the rider is in their fire form, Red Yoshi will spit out three fireballs instead of one.

Yoshi series
Yoshi's Island series
Red Yoshies have appeared in every Yoshi's Island series game since Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's island, where they are always playable in a world's seventh level, this being true for the GameBoy Advance port, Yoshi's Island DS and Yoshi's New Island. Red Yoshi originally had red shoes in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, which changed to a more teal color in the GBA port before becoming the usual blue color seen in most modern appearances.

Yoshi Touch & Go
Red Yoshi appears as a playable character in Yoshi Touch & Go, appearing in Marathon Mode once the player has reached 6000 yards. It can hold up to 45 eggs and is succeeded by Black Yoshi once the player reaches 7000 yards.

Mario Kart 7
Yoshi Story
The Pipe Frame later appears in Mario Kart 7 as a retro kart body. In this game the kart offered a good boost in acceleration and off-road, but hindered in speed and weight. The Pipe Frame is one of the three kart parts to have a different color for each character.
Red Yoshi appears as a playable color option in Yoshi Story. In this game, Red Yoshi favors Apples as its favorite fruit, always restoring 3 health points upon eating one. It also gains more health points upon eating Red Shy Guys. Red Yoshi shares the same voice pitch as Pink Yoshi, being slightly higher than Green and Yellow Yoshi, but not as high as White Yoshi.

Color Schemes
Yoshi's Woolly World/Pooch & Yoshi's Woolly World
*Mario - Red
Red Yoshi appears in Yoshi's Woolly World and its 3DS port as a playable Yoshi color. Unlike the other Yoshi colors, Red Yoshi evades capture at the beginning of the game, alongside Green, Pink or Light Blue Yoshi (depending on the save file chosen). It is the only Yoshi color unlocked at the start regardless of which save file is being played.
*Luigi - Green
*Peach - Pink
*Yoshi - Light Green
*Bowser - Orange
*Donkey Kong - Yellow
*Toad - Blue
*Koopa - Light Yellow Green
*Daisy - Yellow-Orange
*Wario - Purple
*Rosalina - Turquoise
*Metal Mario - Silver
*Shy Guy - Black

Super Mario World: Mario to Yoshi no Bōken Land
<center><gallery>
Red Yoshi appears in Super Mario World: Mario to Yoshi no Bōken Land, where it assists Mario, Luigi and Yoshi in rescuing Princess Peach and saving Dinosaur Land. Once Mario, Luigi and Yoshi defeat Lemmy Koopa in Vanilla Dome, they rescue a Yoshi Egg, which hatches into a red Baby Yoshi when the trio are on the Twin Bridges. The Baby Yoshi proceeds to swallow several Paratroopas before growing into a full sized Red Yoshi. Red Yoshi later assists Mario in defeating Larry, Ludwig, Roy and Morton by finding a Cape Feather for Mario to use. After the heroes destroy the fortress and save the Yoshi Eggs, Luigi runs off, prompting Red Yoshi to go and find him. Red Yoshi and Luigi later return to help Mario in his battle against King Koopa. Once King Koopa is defeated and Princess Peach is rescued, Red Yoshi joins them for a picnic.

Red Yoshi appears in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as an alternate palette swap for Yoshi. In the former, Red Yoshi is a downloadable skin for Yoshi while in Mario Kart 8, Red Yoshi is made available through purchasing both The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 and Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8 DLC packs. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Red Yoshi remains as a palette swap of Yoshi, however it is available from the start of the game. Red Yoshi was used for the staff ghost in GCN Yoshi Circuit.
In the Club Nintendo comic "Die Jagd nach dem Nintendo 64: Krawall im All", Mario and Luigi are seen driving karts in their mission to find a spaceship shaped like the Nintendo 64. They compete against Wario and Bowser and make another reference to the Mario Kart games by dropping Banana Peels and making them crash. The karts seen in this comic resemble those seen in the then-new Mario Kart 64. Unlike their video game equivalents, though, they can also be turned into jet skis by pushing a button on their steering-wheels.

Mario Kirby Meisaku Video
Red Yoshi also appears as a separate driver in Mario Kart Tour, where it debuted in the New Year's Tour. Red Yoshi is classified as a Super ranked driver and has the Yoshi Egg as its special item, much like Yoshi. The Red Turbo Yoshi, a variant of the Turbo Yoshi, also debuts in the same tour, which is based on Red Yoshi.
A Pipe Frame makes an apperance resembling the one in Super Mario Kart in the Mario segment of the Mario Kirby Meisaku Video where Mario drives it during his pursuit of the mysterious thief W. Eventually, after being attacked by some monsters, he spins out near a vegetable garden.

Super Mario-Kun
Paper Mario series
In Paper Mario, a Red Yoshi appears at the entrance to Yoshi's Village. When the Fearsome 5 go missing in Jade Jungle, the Red Yoshi starts to panic along with the other Yoshies.
Pipe Frame karts are seen the Mario Kart adaptions of Super Mario-Kun. The first time they appear, Mario races against other characters including Donkey Kong Jr. and Bowser.
<br clear=all>

Super Smash Bros. series
In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, one of the possible colors the Mini-Yoshi can be is red, should the player wait 6-9 minutes after receiving the egg. In this game, the Mini-Yoshi has red skin, a green mohawk and shoes and dark grey colored pants with white polka-dots on them.
Super Smash Bros. Melee Trophy
{|border=1 cellpadding=1 cellspacing=0 width=100%
In Paper Mario: Color Splash, a Red Yoshi may appear and attack Mario during his fight against the Unicycle Shy Guys in The Emerald Circus.

Mario Super Sluggers
Red Yoshi appears as an unlockable playable character in Mario Super Sluggers as an alternate skin to Yoshi. Unlike Yoshi, however, Red Yoshi is not able to be selected as a team captain and is unable to use Yoshi's star swing or star pitch. Compared to Yoshi, Red Yoshi has lower pitching, fielding and running.

In the game's Challenge Mode, Red Yoshi appears in Yoshi Park and runs the shop in the park. Red Yoshi will only join the player after retrieving his paint brush from a treasure chest within the park, to which the player must then return to the Green Paratroopa in Wario City. After finding the paint brush, Red Yoshi will join the team.

Mario Tennis Open
Red Yoshi appears as an unlockable QR code character in Mario Tennis Open. In this game, it is classified as a Technique type character, alongwith Peach, Daisy, Luma and Pink Yoshi.

Mario Sports Mix
Red Yoshi appears in Mario Sports Mix as a non-playable character in the Dodgeball game. Here, Red Yoshi plays for the opposing team and appears in the box at the player's side of the court. Red Yoshi can also target players, but cannot exit the box if they land a hit against any of the players.

The Gold Standard (known as the Gold Kart in Europe and Australia) is an unlockable kart part in Mario Kart 7. It can be unlocked by collecting 20000 coins, or by earning 10000 VR in Wi-Fi races. Much like the Pipe Frame, it alters the stats for the kart, though the stats boost are mirrored. The Gold Standard gives a good boost for speed and weight, but hinders in acceleration and off-road.

When the Gold Standard body is combined with the Gold Tires and Gold Glider, they complete the whole Gold Standard. This kart gives great speed (the 2nd biggest boost in the game) and good weight, but has a negative handling boost, and abysmal off-road (the worst boost in the game).

Black B Dasher
{{foreignname
The Black B Dasher is the first variant of the B Dasher introduced in Mario Kart Tour. It was introduced as a Tour Gift for Gold Pass members during the New York Tour. As the name suggests, it is black in color with gold stripes and exhaust pipes. Much like the B Dasher it is classified as a High-End kart, uses the same tires and increases the duration of Dash Panels and the points earned from using one.

Trivia
Red B Dasher
*The Gold Standard's steering wheel is gold, but in first person view, it remains black, unless the player has earned the Golden Steering Wheel.
The Red B Dasher is a variant of the B Dasher introduced during the London Tour as a High-End kart. As the name suggests, it is red in color with white stripes and blue exhaust pipes, overall resembling Mario's color scheme. It uses the same tires as the B Dasher. Unlike the B Dasher, it provides a longer Rocket Start and more points for performing one, making it the first variant of the B Dasher not to have the Dash Panel Plus skill.

Availability
The Red B Dasher is available in regular tour pipes, including the All-Clear Pipe. It is not currently a part of the Daily Selects, however. The following table shows the kart's other availabilities by tour.

Black Kabuki Dasher
The Black Kabuki Dasher is a High-End kart introduced in the Summer Festival Tour. It is a black colored version of the Kabuki Dasher, with a black body, red and grey colored Kabuki markings and black exhaust pipes with red and grey stripes on them. It uses the same tires as the Wild Black, unlike its original variant or the B Dasher. It also increases the duration of Mini-Turbos and the points earned from performing one.

Availability
The Black Kabuki Dasher has only appeared in certain pipes and is not currently a part of the Daily Selects set. The following table shows the kart's availability by tour.

Red Yoshi from Mario Kart Tour
Red Yoshi from Mario Kart Tour
First appearance Super Mario World (1990)
Latest appearance Mario Party Superstars (2021)
Variant of Yoshi

Multiplayer Minigame
Red Yoshi as it appears in Snowball Slam in New Super Mario Bros..

Baby DK riding Red Yoshi
Red Yoshi as it appears in Yoshi's Island DS

Yoshi Story

Red Yoshi appears as a playable color option in Yoshi Story. In this game, Red Yoshi favors Apples as its favorite fruit, always restoring 3 health points upon eating one. It also gains more health points upon eating Red Shy Guys. Red Yoshi shares the same voice pitch as Pink Yoshi, being slightly higher than Green and Yellow Yoshi, but not as high as White Yoshi.

Yoshi's Woolly World/Pooch & Yoshi's Woolly World

Red Yoshi appears in Yoshi's Woolly World and its 3DS port as a playable Yoshi color. Unlike the other Yoshi colors, Red Yoshi evades capture at the beginning of the game, alongside Green, Pink or Light Blue Yoshi (depending on the save file chosen). It is the only Yoshi color unlocked at the start regardless of which save file is being played.

Yoshi's Crafted World

Red Yoshi appears in Yoshi's Crafted World, once again as a playable color option.

Super Mario World: Mario to Yoshi no Bōken Land

Mario Kart series

Red Yoshi and King Boo in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Paper Mario series

In Paper Mario, a Red Yoshi appears at the entrance to Yoshi's Village. When the Fearsome 5 go missing in Jade Jungle, the Red Yoshi starts to panic along with the other Yoshies.

1 - File ID numbers indicate that these karts/gliders are the original variants
2 - The normal Plane Glider is currently not in Mario Kart Tour. However, the internal filename for the Stealth Glider matches up with the Japanese name of SailPlane, indicating it is still a variant of the Plane Glider
3 - While the index numbers for the Hanafuda gliders are not in order, the file names themselves number them, listing the Baby Mario Hanafuda as 01
