Glohm Pipegunk is a side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. In this quest, Mario and Luigi must defeat Glohm Pipegunk at the Brrrning Sea, Great Lighthouse Island.

The side quest becomes available after building Technikki's or Adaphne's Engine, and after clearing the Glohm Sharpcask side quest. Glohm Pipegunk expires after defeating Reclusa. Completing this quest awards the Pipegunk Boots DX.

Side quest[edit]

To initiate the side quest, Mario and Luigi must speak with Dewey Fightem on Shipshape Island. He warns the Bros. that Pipegunk has become Glohmed as well. A flashback is then shown, depicting Zok Troops discussing the Glohmatic Quad-Ray, Glohm Bowser and that their work continued in the basements of the Great Lighthouses even after they were restored. Their conversation is then interrupted by a roar from Glohm Pipegunk, causing the Zok Troops to flee. Mario and Luigi must set out and defeat Glohm Pipegunk at the Brrrning Sea Great Lighthouse Island.

After defeating Glohm Pipegunk, the brothers report to Dewey Fightem, who excitedly declares Mario and Luigi as the toughest monsters. Dewey Fightem thanks the Bros. and gives them their reward. The side quest is then completed.

  • Pink gossip: "Right, and it's gotten super strong thanks to the Glohm."
  • Blue gossip: "Talk about a stubborn problem!"
  • Yellow gossip: "Dewey Fightem on Shipshape Island has been saying he's extremely worried."
  • Pink gossip: "And you already know which two heroes will end up dealing with it..."
  • Yellow gossip: "You bet I do!"
  • All three: "Ohohohoho!"

If the player speaks to them again, the above conversation is skipped and only one line of dialogue is said.
