Description
Cures the Glohm status ailment.
Appears in Mario & Luigi: Brothership (2024)

Ampberries are items in Mario & Luigi: Brothership used to cure Mario and Luigi of the Glohm status ailment. They are heart-shaped berries with a circuit pattern on them. They only grow on Wayaway Island, and are the only known method of curing Glohmed citizens. They are stockpiled by Bowser in his castle, from which Mario and Luigi retrieve a large pile of them to bring to Dr. Vulko. Afterward, Dr. Vulko will give them enough Ampberries to increase their stock to 10 when the bros. talk to him. When Dr. Vulko is trapped in a flower by Reclusa, the bros. can instead take Ampberries straight from the pile. Ampberries can also be found in ? Blocks in the overworld or obtained from defeating certain enemies. Unlike other consumable items, Ampberries cannot be sold in shops.

The "Auto Ampberry" Battle Plug allows immediate use of an Ampberry whenever Mario or Luigi is affected by the Glohm status effect. If the player uses the Spirited Item Battle Plug, using an Ampberry gives a boost to the cured character's Speed by 30%.
