Stickem Oil
Description
"Wildly sticky oil from Face Rock on Allsand Island. Real, real sticky.."
Appears in Mario & Luigi: Brothership (2024)

Stickem Oil is a key item in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It's a sticky, goopy oil located at Face Rock on the northern end of Allsand Island, and essential to Technikki's plan to break through the wall surrounding the Color-Full Sea, Great Lighthouse Island. To infiltrate the area, Technikki constructs a rocket that requires Stickem Oil to power. Mario and Luigi travel to Allsand Island to find some.

Upon reaching the Stickem Oil reserve, they discover the oil is low and hasn't been produced lately. The oil is guarded by Sharkbones at the far end of the large sand pit, which will trigger a battle if the Bros. get too close. Using his Luigi Logic, Luigi hangs from a tree branch to distract the Sharkbones, allowing Mario to cross over and hit the switch that releases the Stickem Oil. The Sharkbones flee afterward, and the Bros. collect a portion of the oil. Afterward, the Sharkbones flee, and the brothers collect a portion of the oil. With the Stickem Oil retrieved, Technikki completes the rocket, enabling Mario and Luigi to ride it to the Great Lighthouse Island.
