Bandit Guys are variants of Black Shy Guys that appear in Mario Tennis Aces. They wear purple bandanas and each carry a box of coins while being attached to a red balloon similar to a Sky Guy. They only appear in the "Shy Guy Train Tussle" co-op challenge, where they appear alongside other Shy Guys, Big Shy Guys, and Barrel Guys as part of the Shy Guy bandits supporting their boss, the Bandit boss. The boxes they carry are part of the loot stolen by the Shy Guys' gang, which the player must recover. Bandit Guys appear on the left or right side of the screen and move very quickly in a straight line, faster than other Shy Guys, making them the fastest Shy Guys in the game mode. To defeat a Bandit Guy, the player must predict where the Bandit Guy will be, as direct shots won't hit them due to their speed. After defeating a Bandit Guy, they will disappear, causing their balloon to rise and opening their box, which will grant 45 coins. Their leader, the Bandit boss, is himself a larger Bandit Guy wearing yellow and red bandanas.
