New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U (alternatively written New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U) is a compilation title for the Wii U console. It is the first compilation of Super Mario games on the Wii U and includes New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U on a single disc. It was released on November 1, 2013 in North America, November 7 in Europe, November 8 in Australia, and November 26 in Brazil.

At first, it was only available with the Mario & Luigi Deluxe Wii U Set (known as the Premium Pack in PAL regions), but it saw an individual release in North America on October 16, 2015.[3] This compilation title can be purchased at retail stores, or at the Nintendo eShop. If purchased digitally, the compilation title requires 14.2 GB to be downloaded. As a result, certain Wii U models are not able to download this software without an external storage device.

Unlike the retail version of New Super Mario Bros. U, copies of the game included in the Wii U Deluxe Set do not include an instruction booklet or a Club Nintendo code.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, a port for the Nintendo Switch, works the same way as that.

Differences from the original games[edit]

  • The original New Super Mario Bros. U title screen and game disc have been somewhat changed to accommodate for the additional game.
  • The box art is very similar to the New Super Mario Bros. U box, but a ribbon along the bottom has been added to incorporate the New Super Luigi U logo, and a picture of Luigi.
  • 222 bonus videos were included with this version of the game. The New Super Mario Bros. U videos can be found on the official YouTube channel, while the New Super Luigi U videos are exclusive to the compilation.[4]
