The Tire is an item in the PC release of Mario's Time Machine. It is a standard car tire that was tested by Booker T. Washington and his laboratory for Henry Ford. After Mario travels back in time to Tuskegee circa 1915 to return a Crank Handle to George Washington Carver, he ends up talking to Washington, who asks him to deliver the Tire to Ford. He later elaborates that the rubber on the tire was synthetically created through the use of goldenrod. Ford also mentions to Mario that his automobile has a flat tire and he needs to leave soon. After Mario gives the Tire to Ford, he thanks Mario and notices that it is made out of the synthetic rubber that Carver was working on. He then continues to talk about Carver and his past.
