Moon Shards in the Sand is the second story mission of the Sand Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. The mission's objective is to collect five Moon Shards in the Moe-Eye Habitat.
Layout[edit]
The mission begins on the Tostarena Ruins Round Tower, and Mario must follow a series of Lifts on tracks while occasionally utilizing Hat Launchers and Pulse Beams to destroy blocks. Afterwards, Mario will end up in the Moe-Eye Habitat, and he can immediately find the first Moon Shard next to a Moe-Eye. Afterwards, Mario must follow some green birds to the second Moon Shard. Mario can then ride a Lift to some pillars and follow the hidden platforms to the third Moon Shard. Mario must then fall down and clip the edge to find the fourth Moon Shard in between two cacti.
