Mario Bros. is an unlockable stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl based on the location from the 1983 arcade game Mario Bros. The stage also returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, R.O.B. is faced here when he is being unlocked unless he is unlocked through the Subspace Emissary, even if this stage is not unlocked beforehand.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, walking off one side of the stage allows players to emerge from the other side, similar to the Balloon Fight stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.

Unlocking criteria in Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the course is initially hidden and must be unlocked before players can utilize it. In order to do so, one must complete the Event Match "Event 19: Wario Bros.", which involves Wario fighting Mario and Luigi, who are on a team, on this stage. Once they are defeated, the event is cleared and the stage becomes available in other modes.
