Template:Levelbox World 2-Castle is the castle and last level of World 2 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The boss battle in this level is against Roy Koopa.

Layout

This is an autoscrolling castle level filled with lava pits, and three way corridors, of which only one is the correct path, much like in Super Mario Bros. World 4-4 and World 7-4, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels World 3-4 and World 6-4 and New Super Mario Bros. DS Bowser's Castle second part. If the correct corridor is chosen, a "ding" is heard, if wrong, a honk. Podoboos are also common in this castle. If Mario and the gang stay too long near a wall the autoscrolling level will squish them causing them to lose a life.

In order to complete that area quickly,

First part: The player needs to take the upper route (with help of a moving platform). To find the star coin (see below), take the wrong paths.

Second part: The player needs to take the lower route. Don't freeze the piranha plant! Otherwise, you'll get trapped.

Third part: The player needs to take the centre route. He or she should hit the P-Switch and go over either the orange platforms or the brick blocks over lava (to also get the star coin). The centre route is covered with brick blocks while the lower route is covered with coins. Therefore, without the P-Switch, he can only go thru the wrong paths.

Boss Battle

Roy Koopa is fought here for the second time. He attacks by popping out of pipes that Kamek makes with his magic before the start of the battle. When Roy jumps out of a pipe, it might shock Mario (like a Sledge Bro), just like Morton. Mario also needs to avoid getting squished by Roy Koopa.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: At the beginning of the level, quickly propeller up to the Star Coin before the screen blocks it. If the player does not have the propeller suit, take the wrong paths (which is the top or the middle) in the first fork.
  • Star Coin 2: Located in the second area which is easily seen. Destroy the brick blocks to grab it.
  • Star Coin 3: When the player hits the P-Switch in the third area, go across the brick blocks to get the Star Coin.
