Cranky Kong, DK: Jungle Climber

The Extra Stages are a set of levels in DK: Jungle Climber unlocked after clearing Adventure Mode. They are hosted by Dixie Kong and can be accessed by selecting the barrel with her face on it from the mode select screen.

The levels in the Extra Stages are designed to be more difficult and complex than the ones in Adventure Mode, often requiring precise maneuvers or speed, and each of them are completed once Donkey Kong collects the DK Coin at the end. Donkey Kong receives no assistance from Diddy Kong and cannot use Crystal Stars to fly. A new level is unlocked with every ten Banana Coins the player collects until 100, with the final level requiring the player to collect all 145 Banana Coins in the main game. Levels the player has not unlocked yet are displayed as "??????" until the required amount of Banana Coins is collected. After completing a level, a DK Coin appears to the left of its name.

Stage 1 Stage 1 in DK: Jungle Climber A level in which Donkey Kong needs to jump and hit walls to reach the DK Coin at the top. Unlocked with ten Banana Coins.
Stage 2 Stage 2 in DK: Jungle Climber A vertical level in which Donkey Kong needs to bounce off tires to reach the DK Coin. Unlocked with twenty Banana Coins.
Stage 3 Stage 3 in DK: Jungle Climber A level with many ice tiles that must be broken carefully. Unlocked with thirty Banana Coins.
Stage 4 Stage 4 in DK: Jungle Climber A horizontal level in which Donkey Kong must jump off pegs and Peg Boards as they descend to cross some spikes. Unlocked with forty Banana Coins.
Stage 5 Stage 5 in DK: Jungle Climber A vertical level with two streams of falling pegs and many Mini-Neckys. Unlocked with fifty Banana Coins.
Stage 6 Stage 6 in DK: Jungle Climber A level with Spinning Pegs, rocks that must be tossed at a Question Barrel, and bombs that need to be thrown into holes to proceed. Unlocked with sixty Banana Coins.
Stage 7 Stage 7 in DK: Jungle Climber A level with falling pegs and Kritters climbing across the pegs. Unlocked with seventy Banana Coins.
Stage 8 Stage 8 in DK: Jungle Climber A level where Donkey Kong must toss and catch a rock while pulling down Switch Pegs to hit a Question Barrel. Unlocked with eighty Banana Coins.
Stage 9 Stage 9 in DK: Jungle Climber A level where Donkey Kong must throw bombs into holes to reach the top and cross some spikes. Unlocked with ninety Banana Coins.
Stage 10 Stage 10 in DK: Jungle Climber A level with pegs that move on a track. Donkey Kong must ride them to the DK Coin as they get progressively faster. Unlocked with one hundred Banana Coins.
Stage 11 Stage 11 in DK: Jungle Climber A vertical level with rising lava. Donkey Kong must use Switch Pegs, Jack Pegs, a Handle Peg, and a Question Barrel to reach the DK Coin. Unlocked with all one hundred forty-five Banana Coins.
