Layout[edit]

Space A Go-Go

The Kongs start out in a mountainous canyon with cactuses, with a Spinning Peg to their right. By grabbing this peg and letting go, they can launch themselves onto some Peg Boards moving in and out. If the Kongs climb up these Peg Boards, they will reach the letter K on top of a platform. A passage above the first set of Peg Boards moving in and out leads to several pegs moving in circles; the first Banana Coin is near the bottom of the lowest ring of pegs. When the Kongs reach the topmost ring of pegs, they will find a Cannon Barrel which shoots them upward to the second area.

Near the beginning of the second section are some pegs and flimsy Peg Boards, with some more pegs and flimsy Peg Boards further up, alongside two Zingers moving above them. A small platform is to the right of the pegs below the Zingers; the letter O can be found near five pegs below this platform. The Kongs should continue to move across the pegs to the right of the platform, some of which are flimsy, to pass a Zinger beneath them and reach the entrance to the third area. A Spinning Peg is to the left of and below the entrance; if the Kongs launch themselves at just the right angle, they can grab a falling peg and collect the second Banana Coin.

The third section features some more Peg Boards leading to the top; if the Kongs jump down and move to the right, they will land in an alcove containing several Bananas and the level's DK Coin. They can then use a Cannon Barrel to the left of the alcove to blast back to the Peg Boards. After climbing up some flimsy pegs and Peg Boards, they will reach another alcove containing a DK Barrel, followed by some more flimsy Peg Boards and a Mini-Necky flying side-to-side. The Kongs then reach a ledge with more flimsy Peg Boards above it; by scaling them upward, they pass two Mini-Neckys shooting nuts to reach a Peg Board moving side-to-side and another Mini-Necky flying horizontally above it. The path splits into two here: if the Kongs take the more roundabout way to the left, they will pick up the third Banana Coin above a Peg Board as they move across the many flimsy pegs and Peg Boards. Both paths lead to a Cannon Barrel which launches them to the fourth area.

When the Kongs land on top of the island, a cutscene plays showing the King Kruizer IV flying up into space before Donkey and Diddy can catch up to it. Diddy complains that they are too late, to which Cranky Kong reveals that he brought a spare Booster Barrel for the occasion and tells them to jump in. Before this, though, the Kongs can optionally drop off the right side of the fourth area to land in a Bonus Barrel and earn some extra lives.

After the Kongs jump into the Blast Barrel, it begins rocketing upward to the fifth area, which consists of several lines of bananas between some tires. If the Kongs take the first branching path to the left, they can find the letter N in between a string of bananas. More lines of bananas soon follow; the fourth Banana Coin is on a branching path to the right between two pegs, with some mines on either side of this path. Shortly after this is another path to the left with the level's oil barrel, again with mines on either side.

The Kongs then enter the sixth area, which is filled with many mines moving in erratic paths. After following the many bananas scattered across the area, they will find the fifth Banana Coin near the middle of the section, with two static mines to its right and a banana above and to its left. As they continue flying upward and avoiding more mines, they eventually catch up with the King Kruizer IV, entering it from a hole on its underside.

When the Kongs enter the King Kruizer IV, it alerts three Kritters; they can use two Peg Boards on either side of the area to dispatch the Kritters. The letter G is also found here, above and to the left of the Peg Board on the left. Near the right Peg Board is the Goal Gate.
