Falling Falls is a level in DK: Jungle Climber and the first level of the world Chill 'n' Char Island, the fourth world in the game. The initial area of the level consists of a large waterfall, which has to be climbed using continuously falling pegs. The rest of it is made up by a vertically scrolling cave and a few areas full of brambles. In the later parts of the level, a rough blizzard is taking place, which is constantly pushing the Kongs to the left, making it harder to progress. Enemies appearing in this level include Mini-Neckys, Flitters and Zingers.
Layout[edit]
The Kongs start out near a large waterfall, where several Peg Boards are moving downward constantly; several small platforms are between them at varying heights. The letter K is to the left of the first set of moving Peg Boards and can be reached by scaling the Peg Boards or by using a Diddy Attack. Above it is an optional Bonus Barrel on a small platform near the top. A Cannon Barrel is at the end of the area, which fires the Kongs upwards into the second section.
The second area contains more Peg Boards and some pegs moving downward, with the first Banana Coin located near the bottom right of the rightmost set of falling pegs. The Kongs must climb the pegs by alternating between the L and R buttons to grab them. An unstable Peg Board is further up on the left, followed by a small platform on each side and a Flitter. The level's oil barrel is in an alcove at the same height as the Flitter, on the right side near the stream of pegs. Above the ground on the left are two more unstable Peg Boards and one normal, followed by three pegs; the letter O is above and to the right of the topmost peg. After these pegs is the exit to the third area.
Near the beginning of the third area is a Peg Board with a rock next to it, as well as three holes next to it. The Kongs must toss rocks into each of the three holes so the rocks can turn gold and be used like pegs. To the right of the three holes are two unstable pegs, with a rock next to the second one. If the Kongs toss a rock in the gap above and jump, they will be able to fling themselves to the level's DK Coin. Above the three holes are some more Peg Boards, rocks, and holes, with the letter N appearing in an alcove on the left. Further up are three Mini-Neckys and more holes that the Kongs must fill in with rocks to continue to the fourth area.
The fourth section takes place in a blizzard. Two brambles extend and retract from the ceiling shortly after the entrance, followed by two more on the floor. A stable Peg Board and a flimsy one between two horizontal brambles are above and to the right, with two vertical brambles further above on the ceiling. A DK Barrel is in an alcove to the left of the vertical brambles; to their right is a Spinner Barrel, which can be aimed slightly to the left to shoot the Kongs past eight brambles and into the second Banana Coin. They must grab some Peg Boards above the brambles to fling themselves to the entrance to the fifth area.
In the fifth area, a blizzard blows the Kongs back, impeding their progress. They should cling to some Peg Boards at the beginning and land in a Cannon Barrel, which shoots them further ahead; if they go down from the platform they land on and walk to the right of a Zinger below, they can find the third Banana Coin inside a barrel. The Kongs must then climb up and to the right, then left to find a DK Barrel on a ledge. They should go up and to the left to find several Peg Boards moving to the left, with some tires on the end. After grabbing one of the boards, they must fling themselves to the upper right against the wind, taking out two Zingers along the way. The letter G is found above the second Zinger. The exit to the sixth area is in the top right.
At the bottom of the sixth section are several pegs and Peg Boards and a Zinger below them, with some moving Peg Boards above the static ones. The fourth Banana Coin is on the moving Peg Boards. Some more static Peg Boards are further up, followed by another set of moving Peg Boards with the fifth Banana Coin above the right end of the stream. Above the second set of moving Peg Boards are some tires and more static Peg Boards, with the Goal Gate to their right.
