Desert Pokey is a LEGO Super Mario expansion set released along with the first wave of playable sets on August 1, 2020. The set is centered around a Pokey on a desert-themed platform. The central part of the build consists of a desert structure surrounded by cactuses, with a slot to insert the Pokey figure's separate segments. Once assembled, the Pokey's segments can be knocked off by a rotating platform with a hammer attached to it. One of Pokey's segments contains an Action Tag which, when scanned, grants Mario many coins for defeating the enemy. If the interactive LEGO Mario figure is placed on the rotating platform, "World 2 Map (Desert Land)" begins playing, and Mario is also able to earn coins by rotating the hammer.
Two smaller platforms are also connected to the main build. One contains a cactus and the other contains a Monty Mole. The Monty Mole can be defeated by jumping on its head, which contains the Action Tag, to earn Mario a coin.
