Character Packs is the first group of individual character sets for LEGO Super Mario, released along with the rest of the first wave on August 1, 2020. Each pack consistsing of one random build from a poll of eight sets. Each set consists of an enemy placed on top of a small themed base. There are ten possible figures in total.

Blooper | A water-themed base with a Blooper attached to a coral piece in vibrant coral color. Its Action Tag is found on its back, and it takes only one jump to be defeated, giving away one coin. |

Bob-omb | A grass-themed base with a Bob-omb placed on top of a hill. The Action Tag is found on the Bob-omb's side. When jumped on, the Bob-omb is lit, represented by the sound of its fuse burning. Mario can then jump on it repeatedly to earn coins. After a few seconds, it trigger an explosion effect. If Mario is on top of the Bob-omb as this happens, he loses the coins gained from jumping. |

Bullet Bill | A desert-themed base with a cactus and a Bullet Bill on top of transparent pieces. It can be defeated in a single jump, giving the player one coin. |

Buzzy Beetle | A lava-themed set with black hills and a Buzzy Beetle. Its Action Tag is found on its shell, making it take two hits to be defeated. When defeated, it gives the player three coins. |

Eep Cheep | A water-themed base with dark green seagrass and an Eep Cheep supported by transparent pieces. The Eep Cheep's Action Tag is found on its back. It takes one jump for it to be defeated and it gives away one coin. |

Fuzzy | A grass-themed base featuring small hills. The Fuzzy is supported by a tall transparent piece connected to a hinge brick which can be used to knock down the enemy. The Fuzzy's Action Tag is located on its back. It requires one jump to be defeated and awards the player one coin. |

Paragoomba | A desert-themed base with a pyramid and a Paragoomba on top of a cloud on transparent pieces. Despite its wings, the Paragoomba acts exactly like a Goomba, taking one hit to the Action Tag on its head for it to be defeated and giving the player one coin. |

Peepa | A lava-themed base with a castle structure and a Peepa. The Peepa's Action Tag is found on its back. Unlike other enemies, it cannot be defeated when scanned normally, as it only causes the interactive figure to be scared. A Super Star needs to be used in order to defeat it. |

Spiny | A grass-themed base with two trees and a Spiny. The Spiny's Action Tag is found on its shell. Despite in Super Mario games it damaging Mario when jumped on, an interactive LEGO figure can safely jump on top of the figure, like the Buzzy Beetle figure. It takes two hits for it to be defeated, gaining three coins at the end. |

Urchin | A water-themed base with an Urchin on top of a water geyser. Its Action Tag is found on its back, it requires one jump to be defeated and awards the player one coin. |
