Yellow Yoshi's Fruit Tree is a LEGO Super Mario polybag released on August 8, 2022, as part of the fifth wave of LEGO Super Mario sets. The set consists of two grass-themed platforms, one containing a tree with a fruit and another holding a Yellow Yoshi figure. The set was originally available as a bonus included with the purchase of other LEGO Super Mario sets at LEGO's official website, before becoming available for purchase separately.[1]
Unlike the Yellow Yoshi figure included in the set Big Urchin Beach Ride, the one included in this set has a semicircular white tile making up its belly instead of two quarter circle tiles. Otherwise, it is identical to other Yoshi figures in the theme. By scanning the Action Tag placed in front of it, the interactive figure can "ride" Yoshi, represented by the Yoshi appearing on their screen. While riding Yoshi, the interactive figure can survive one extra hit, acting similar to a Super Mushroom. Jumping on enemy Action Tags also causes the Yoshi to eat them for extra coins.
An interactive figure can scan the fruit to "carry" it, represented by the fruit appearing on the figure's screen. By tilting the figure down, they can eat the fruit, gaining five coins once it is fully eaten. The figure can bring the fruit to the Yoshi by scanning its Action Tag after picking up a fruit. This causes Yoshi to eat the fruit, which also awards the player five coins. If the figure is already riding Yoshi when they scan the fruit, Yoshi immediately eats it, awarding only one coin instead.
