The Super Dive, originally named Sliding Catch in Mario Superstar Baseball, is a fielding ability in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers. It allows the character to dive farther than usual to catch a ball. The Super Dive activates only occasionally. It is signified by a sparkling light surrounding the character's baseball glove body and a sound effect. Characters who can use the ability in Mario Superstar Baseball include Mario, Princess Daisy, Wario, Koopa, Shy Guy, Dry Bones, Noki, and Toadette. The characters who can use this ability in Mario Super Sluggers are Daisy, Baby Daisy, and Shy Guy.
