Laser Beam is a special ability that appears in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers. In Mario Superstar Baseball, this ability is used by Waluigi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and the Piantas; in Mario Super Sluggers, it is used by Wario, King K. Rool and the Piantas.
Description[edit]
When a character with this ability throws the ball to home base, the ball will travel much faster than normal while sailing at a much lower arc; in Mario Superstar Baseball, the Laser Beam's speed depends on the character throwing the ball (e.g. Waluigi's Laser Beam is slower than Bowser's), while in Mario Super Sluggers, it will always travel at the same speed.
In Mario Super Sluggers, one scout mission in Wario City requires the player to get a runner out with the Laser Beam throw three times. If the scout mission is completed, Boo will join the player's team.
