Biddybuds first appear in World 1-3 and act similar to the Goombas in the 2D side-scrolling games. They mainly appear in a 2 to 5 groups and walk in a set path around a circle or other pattern. Mario can defeat them with any type of attack, if he defeated them in a five set of group, a 1-up will be earn. They also have a subspecies called [[Para-Biddybud]]s, which have wings and fly, similar to a [[Paragoomba]].
