Template:Levelbox World 9-3 is the third level of World 9 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This course has the background of World 6 and is unlocked by collecting all the Star Coins from World 3. It features Bull's-Eye Bills and homing, Banzai Bill-like King Bills. POW Blocks cannot defeat these enemies. The floor resembles that of World 7-2.

Layout

This level takes place on a skymountain. At the beginning of the level, Mario is standing on a platform slightly higher than the one coming after it, meaning that it is not necessary to jump to reach it if the player runs. Then they will quickly face a Bill Blaster which doesn't fire normal Bullet Bills since these ones aim on their targets. Several other Bill Blasters follow up and still fire Bull's-Eye Bills, and Koopa Troopas are being added into the mix. Later, a warp pipe can be seen above a bottomless pit. If the player goes through it, they will be transported into a maze with Brick Blocks and the first Star Coin, and a P-Switch: The player will have to press it and go through the maze as fast as they can. A similar area is in another warp pipe above the normal path. Then comes the final section, in which the ground is absent, as are the Bill Blasters, but a new type of Bull's-Eye Bill known as the King Bill is shot out of nowhere this time, and only moving platforms serve as ground. The last Star Coin is on the way, and it requires to bounce on a King Bill to get it. Then the Flagpole can be seen.

Trivia

  • Although the King Bill appears in this level, it is never seen being fired from a Banzai Bill Cannon.
  • The Prima game guide's map shows the goal on a ledge after the King Bill, although in the actual game a Pipe takes the King Bill's place.
