Template:Levelbox World 1-5 is the sixth level in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and the first sky-themed stage in the game. All of the platforms designed like Mushrooms and the only enemies are Koopa Troopas and their winged counterparts. On the world map, the player has the option of playing either this level or World 1-6; both bring the player to the World 1 Castle.

Layout

The level starts out on a large mushroom platform, with three rotating mushroom blocks serving as the first obstacles seen in the level. More regular mushroom platforms follow. Above these there are three sets of Brick Blocks running along lines. One of these is a ? Block which contains a Propeller Mushroom. There are then two large, green rotating mushroom blocks, the second of which contains the second Star Coin at the edge of it. After there are some purple mushroom platforms and a mechanism that change the platform height by shaking the Wii Remote while the player stands on top of the oversized screw. These platforms start off in such a position where the player will need to either activate the screw or have a Propeller Mushroom handy. If the player raises the fourth platform high enough, they will be able to obtain a Red Ring from an elevated yellow platform.

Next there is the Checkpoint Flag, after there is a set of Brick Blocks which are guided by a line, which move notably faster than the ones seen earlier in the level. There are a few blocks in the middle of this line and some Coins floating above, as well as a single Red Koopa Troopa on the blocks. There is another line which two separate Brick Blocks follow circumnavigating a green mushroom platform. Standing on one of the Brick Blocks will allow the player to touch another Red Ring. The rest of the level contains more little rotating mushroom blocks which lead to the Goal Pole, with a few Paratroopas which can make the player fall.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: In a bonus area, accessed via a Beanstalk from a platform above the first set of three line-guided block loops. When the player is in the bonus room, it must go on a line of blocks or use the Propeller Suit.
  • Star Coin 2: Just before the checkpoint Mario will need to run or slide down the side of a big green mushroom block, then obtain the Star Coin before he slips off the side.
  • Star Coin 3: Near the end of the level, floating high above a set of red mushroom blocks. Mario needs to jump on a Paratroopa's head or use a Propeller Mushroom to reach the Star Coin.
