Stage 5-11 is the eleventh level of the Desert in the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. The level revolves around using blocks and switches.

Layout[edit]

Mario starts off in midair and will immediately fall down onto the activated bridge below. Mario must go either left or right to get to a part with a Ladder leading down to an area with a roaming Sukōpī and the switch which deactivates the two bridges. The switch also shuts the gates, trapping him, so before he goes down there, he must activate the block, then place it in one of the gate's way to block it, then he must go down the ladder while watching out for the Sukōpī, jumping over it if it is close, and get to the switch in time to pull it to the left and deactivate the bridges and activate the unblocked gate. Mario then must go back through the unblocked route and climb up the ladder to get back up to where he started. He can now go down to grab the key and throw it up to the platforms higher up, then grab it again and take to the door to end the level.
