Ball Dash is a special move found in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers. When a fielder with the Ball Dash ability has the baseball in hand, they will run extremely fast around the field. The player can use this in the outfield to shorten his or her throwing distance quick, or to make easy tag-outs in infield. It can only be used by Goombas and Monty Moles.
In Mario Super Sluggers, it serves the same purpose, although the Ball Dash ability was expanded to include Nokis, as well as Goombas. Unlike the previous game, Monty Moles cannot use the Ball Dash, which was replaced by the Burrow ability for them.
