Super Sonic is a form that is taken by Sonic the Hedgehog when he collects the seven Chaos Emeralds that appears in many installments in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and also appears as his Final Smash in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. The Chaos Emeralds appear around Sonic and transform him when used, allowing Sonic to freely fly around at high speed, ramming into opponents to deal damage. After some time, the transformation ends. The player cannot self-destruct while using this Final Smash, as Super Sonic cannot fly past the stage's blast lines.
