Here we be honouring the last 12 months of the ‘Shroom’s history, specifically from June of 2012 to May of 2013. This is barring the special issues in July and December, which are instead a part of S9. Favourite Event. I'll try to avoid detailing too much so this is readable, but yeah, here you go.

  • The Critic Corner sub-team was created.
  • Team SOTM awards were introduced.}
  • Marked the debut of Mario4Ever (talk), Iggy Pattel (talk), McZaky29 (talk), GreenDisaster (talk), Soniccity08 (talk), and marioboy14 (talk).
Holiday Issue LXIX
  • Released December 22nd, 2012.
  • Fourth holiday-themed issue.
  • Had six main sections, ten special sections, six staff sections, and five sub-teams.
  • Twenty-eight writers participated.
  • A release party was held in chat.
  • 'Shroom Achievements were introduced.
  • Marked the debut of YoshiKong (talk).
  • Marked Stooben Rooben (talk), Chivi-chivik (talk), and Bop1996 (talk)'s last issue.
Poll Chairperson Election
  • Took place in June-July 2012.
  • The winner of the election is named Poll Chairperson, and is set to run the Poll Committee for a year.
  • Third Poll Chairperson Election.
  • The nominated tickets were: Crocodile Dippy (talk) and Master Crash (talk), Tucayo (talk) and Kibago (talk), Toad85 (talk), and Purity Essence (talk).
  • The Crocodile Dippy/Master Crash ticket won the election with 12 votes.
  • This has been the Poll Chairperson Election with the most nominees.
Scavenger Hunt
  • Held in the December 2012 issue.
  • Readers were invited to find several hidden items.
  • First event of its kind.
  • A prize would have been given to whoever was able to find all the items.
Awards Director Election
  • Took place in September-October 2012.
  • The winner of the election is named Awards Committee Director, and will run the following year's ceremonies.
  • First Awards Director Election.
  • Turboo (talk) and Superchao (talk) were the only nominated ticket, and won the election with 14 votes.
'Shroom Director Election
  • Held in December 2012 - January 2013.
  • The winner of the election is named 'Shroom Director for the following year.
  • Sixth 'Shroom Director Election.
  • The candidates were Tucayo (talk) and Super Mario Bros. (talk).
  • Super Mario Bros. won the election with 16 votes.
  • Closest election in the Super Mario Wiki, with only 2 votes (6.6%) separating the candidates.
End-of-Year Awards
  • Held in the December 2012 issue.
  • Second installment of the awards.
  • Designed to recognize the writers, based on several criteria.
  • Categories were increased from six to seven.
  • A second tier of awards was created for five categories, having a total of twelve awards.
  • Ninety-nine awards were handed out, thirty-one more than in their first installment.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was created to recognize those who have had the biggest impact on the newsletter.
