Clouded green viruses are in the three topmost rows in a checkered pattern, with Brick Blocks (all containing coins) in the first and third rows and red colorful crates in the second row. This stage also has an exploder handy bottle and a flask. The filled flask in this stage will shoot out colorful crates.

In this stage, the shells and pop cannons are connected in a way that when the shell in eighth row is activated, the chain reaction will cause the frozen viruses and exploders to be cleared of ice, while the doors and the crate will still be half-frozen. The Brick Blocks contain hidden purple coins (caged and uncaged), except for the first two ones in both the third column and the seventh column, as well as the first coin in the topmost column.

The topmost row contains a shell and pop cannons that are encased in ice and barrels, and that shell is targeted by the pop cannon in the tenth row.

<< List of worlds >>

World 22 is a cliff rock-themed world resembling Rock-Candy Mines in New Super Mario Bros. U in Dr. Mario World. The first area is available as of 10 PM PT on Nov. 18, 2020[1], while the second area, challenge stages and special stage are available as of 10 PM PT on Dec. 2, 2020[2].

When an area is cleared, red Koopa Troopas, Fuzzies and Stone Spikes appear. The viruses featured in the regular stages are red, blue and green.

Starting with 33 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (25) and collect all virus coins (9).

In this stage, there are Brick Blocks covering all the virus coins. Some of the Brick Blocks are fully frozen, and among those Brick Blocks are frozen viruses, bubbles containing viruses and an exploder. Within the Brick Blocks that are not frozen are viruses, exploders and electric exploders.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (17) and collect all keys (7).

In this stage, the keys and doors are in the middle seven columns, where crates and barrels containing viruses are between them. There are more barrels containing viruses between the doors, as well as colorful crates and a shell handy bottles. Additional colorful crates are located in the leftmost and rightmost columns.

Starting with 37 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (21) and collect all purple coins (32).

In this stage, there are four ice fans which are surrounded by uncaged purple coins and viruses in a broad diagonal line. There are also two groups of four caged purple coins outside the line on each side, with each side having a group of four viruses. There are also Brick Blocks between the broad diagonal line and the caged purple coins.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 16 coins surrounding the ice fans.
  2. The four groups of four viruses near the Brick Blocks, for a total of 16 coins.

Starting with 39 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (14), collect all coins from Coin Blocks (42), and collect all keys (4).

In this stage, the frozen objects are arranged in a grid with exploders in between and pop cannons within that column, and in the same row as the pop cannons is a shell. Among the frozen objects are crates in the same row as the exploders, floatie viruses between the rows with exploders, Coin Blocks along the border and both keys and doors in the same columns as the exploders.

Starting with 37 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (49) and break all crates (10).

In this stage, the barrels form a checkered pattern for the first eight rows, with crates, Empty Blocks and dust clouds in between. The barrels mostly contain viruses, with a single exploder found in the third one in the seventh row. Of the dust clouds, the first one in the sixth row contains a pop cannon, the first one in the second row contains a shell, the rest in the second row contains exploders while the others contain viruses. On the ninth row are barrels containing Capsule Plus starting from +5 and a virus, two dust viruses and two electric exploders.

Starting with 32 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (48), collect all coins from Coin Blocks (24), and collect all keys (1).

In this stage, the first row contains six pop cannons between two Empty Blocks and a door, three on each side with the door in the middle. Between the door and key are floatie viruses. Below the two leftmost pop cannons and two rightmost pop cannons are Brick Blocks containing hidden viruses and half-frozen viruses, while the two pop cannons between the door have Brick Blocks containing hidden viruses and Coin Blocks below them. The Brick Blocks that contain coins are the first, second, fifth and sixth ones in the fourth column and the third, fourth, seventh and eighth ones in the sixth column.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to break all colorful crates (27) and collect all virus coins (14).

In this stage, the nine bubble machines are in the first, fourth and seventh rows, three each. Each bubble machine has three half-frozen colorful crates next to them. The virus coins are behind each of the virus found in this stage. There is also an exploder handy bottle in the fourth row.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (32) and collect all keys (4).

In this stage, the keys and doors are in the first, third, middle and seventh columns, each pair having seven fully-frozen viruses in between them. On the rightmost column are dust clouds between viruses that contain lock blocks, sharing the color with the virus below them. The cages hold barriers, where there are fully-frozen Brick Blocks in between them.

Starting with 30 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (66), collect all purple coins (50), and collect all keys (4). The only colors available in this stage are red and green.

In this stage, there are only red and green colors. At the beginning of this stage, bubbles containing purple coins are scattered among viruses, with electric exploders located in the eighth row directly above the keys. The next five revealed rows contain rows of viruses where some of the are half-frozen, along with caged coins starting from the second revealed row to the sixth revealed row. Brick Blocks are revealed starting from the third revealed row, where they contain caged coins, plus hidden viruses in the odd-numbered Brick Blocks in the last revealed row with hidden caged coins between them. Half-frozen exploders are located in the seventh revealed row between the Brick Blocks, with the ones in the fourth, sixth and eighth columns containing viruses below them, some half-frozen.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 18 coins in the bubbles found before the stage scrolls.
  2. The 13 coins not inside the Brick Blocks from the second revealed row to the sixth revealed row.
  3. The 19 coins hidden inside Brick Blocks from the third revealed row to the eighth revealed row.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 8 lines are introduced.
