World 13 is an underground crystal cavern world resembling Tilted Tunnel from New Super Mario Bros. U in Dr. Mario World. The first area is available as of 1 AM PT on Mar. 5, 2020[1], while the second area, challenge stages and special stage are available as of 2 AM PT on Mar. 19, 2020[2].

When an area is cleared, Bony Beetles, Bone Goombas, and Swoops appear. The viruses featured in the regular stages are red, yellow and blue, with the exception of one stage, which has green viruses in addition to blue.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (41).

This stage introduces bubble machines, which will activate when a match adjacent to it is made and will cover a virus or certain objects in a bubble when another match adjacent to it is made. The Brick Blocks in row #5 contain hidden viruses, which in the initial version, was used to demonstrate the function of the then-new boomerang (in-stage item) which hits everything in a selected row once.

Starting with 37 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (29), collect all purple coins (12) and collect all keys (3).

In this stage, three rows containing four purple coins in bubbles are below three rows of viruses. Bubble machines can be found between the rows of viruses. Caged purple coins do not need to be unlocked to be able to pop its bubble. The doors are found in the topmost row.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 4 coins originally found in row #8.
  2. The 4 coins originally found in row #6.
  3. The 4 coins originally found in row #4.

Starting with 32 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (25).

In this stage, half-frozen viruses are found in the formation of a diamond with a bubble machine in the middle. Brick Blocks form a border in the shape of a diamond around the ones near ice fans being half-frozen. The ones that are not frozen contain hidden viruses. Additionally, there are two bubble viruses originally near the ice fans.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (41) and break all Brick Blocks (38).

In this stage, Brick Blocks behind cages are found on the three leftmost columns and three rightmost columns, with bubble viruses and the lock blocks corresponding to the opposite cages in between. The middle three columns just contain viruses.

Starting with 36 capsules, the objective of this stage is to collect all virus coins (6).

On the three leftmost columns and the three rightmost columns, colorful crates are lined in four columns, along with floatie viruses and Brick Blocks containing hidden viruses between the columns of colorful crates. The middle columns contain viruses in groups of nine above a row of bubble machines. All virus coins are sized 3x3 and are found among the rows #1 to #3 and rows #5 to #7.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (34) (including those that appear from flasks before this objective is achieved) and collect all purple coins (21). The only colors available in this stage are red and blue.

In this stage, caged purple coins surround barrels, with some partially revealing its contents that include exploders and viruses. All but one unbroken barrel contain viruses, in which a purple coins if hidden there instead. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either shells or viruses.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coin in the middle, undamaged barrel.
  2. The 20 coins surrounding the barrels.

Prior to March 18, 2021, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • The available colors are changed to red and blue only.
  • Shells are added in the leftmost and rightmost of row #5.
  • All flasks are removed from this stage. Those filled flasks would have shoot out either shells or viruses.
  • All revealed viruses are changed to become half-frozen.
  • The contents of the last barrel in row #3 and the first barrel in row #7 are changed from viruses to exploders.

Starting with 37 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (42).

In this stage, several viruses are locked behind cages, along with bubble machines. Every Brick Block contains a hidden lock block, with exploders next to the yellow one in the middle and the red and blue ones in the top row (left and right, respectively).

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to collect all purple coins (9) and collect all keys (12).

In this stage, viruses forming a diamond are hidden in clouds and are between keys and doors. The Brick Blocks from rows #7 to #10 contain keys and the Brick Blocks from rows #2 to #5 contain doors. A formation of purple coins is found next to the Brick Blocks containing doors.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 2 coins in row #5.
  2. The 2 coins in row #4.
  3. The 2 coins in row #3.
  4. The 2 coins in row #2.
  5. The coin in row #1.

Starting with 34 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all yellow viruses (19).

In this stage, the middle yellow viruses are locked behind cages and surrounded by yellow colorful crates and Empty Blocks in the middle three columns. In the other columns, yellow viruses are found in pairs except for one which is paired with a yellow lock block, where they are next to Brick Blocks. Fully-frozen red and blue viruses are also available. Pop cannons are in the leftmost and rightmost of row #9.

Prior to March 18, 2021, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • Pop cannons are added in the leftmost and rightmost of row #9.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (46), break all colorful crates (30) and collect all keys (1).

In this stage, the middle column contains Brick Blocks and a door in bubbles, with the door starting from a position between columns of crates until the end where Brick Blocks would be next to it. Colorful crates in groups of three-in-a-row are available, with viruses occupying the rest of the spaces except for the middle column.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 5 lines are introduced.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (15), break all barriers (13) and break all crates (16). The only color available in this stage is red.

This stage is shaped like a right-angle triangle formed with with crates, clouded barriers and floatie viruses.

Prior to March 18, 2021, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • The available color is changed to red only.
  • The objective of this stage is changed to require breaking all crates in addition to eliminating all viruses and breaking all barriers.
  • The flasks, dust viruses and barriers above and to the right of the dust virus in column #2 and row #7 are replaced with floatie viruses. The filled flasks in this stage would have shoot out either shells or crates.

Starting with 32 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (23) and collect all keys (13).

In this stage, doors and half-frozen keys are placed next to some colorful crates, with six of the doors being fully-frozen.

Starting with 33 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (29) and break 17 Brick Blocks.

In this stage, fully-frozen Brick Blocks form a boundary that surrounds the viruses in it. There are viruses outside the boundary that are also next to bubble machines. Pop cannons are at the corners of the Brick Blocks.

Prior to March 18, 2021, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • Capsule amount is reduced from 34 to 33.
  • The first and last Brick Blocks in row #8 are replaced with pop cannons.
  • The objects between the leftmost and rightmost Empty Block in the topmost row are changed from 6 ice fans with an Empty Block in between them to 5 fully-frozen Brick Blocks in the middle. As a result of having more Brick Blocks than the objective requires, not all of them need to be broken.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (18), collect all coins from Coin Blocks (27) and break all crates (36). The only colors available in this stage are red and blue.

In this stage, Brick Blocks each containing coins are found between floatie viruses at the top and bottom in groups of columns of three, which are all between crates in groups of three in a column in a cascading pattern. Exploders are found outside the group next to crates.

Prior to March 18, 2021, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • Capsule amount is increased from 37 to 38.
  • The available colors are changed to red and blue only.
  • All Empty Blocks are removed in this stage. In their place, exploders are added in where the middle Empty Block of each group used to be.
  • All viruses are replaced with floatie viruses.

Starting with 32 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (27) and break all barriers (19).

In this stage, barriers are found next to groups of caged viruses, with a lock block found at the bottom surrounded by barriers and cages and at the top locked behind a cage.

In this stage, half-frozen viruses are found in the middle surrounded by Brick Blocks. The leftmost column, rightmost column, top row and bottom row of Brick Blocks contain coins.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 6 coins in the leftmost and rightmost columns.
  2. The 7 coins in rows #1, #7 and #8.
  3. The 4 coins in rows #2 and #3.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (37) and break all crates (15).

In this stage, crates in groups of three in a column are found in the first three rows, with viruses and exploders between them. Three bubble machines are found in row #8. Each column also has one bubble, either encasing Brick Blocks or viruses.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (24), collect all coins from Coin Blocks (30) and collect all purple coins (28).

In this stage, 3 shells are found in the middle column, where they are aligned with lock blocks, floatie viruses and purple coins. Clearing the blue lock block unlocks cages containing viruses in the rows containing Empty Blocks while clearing the red lock block unlocks the cages containing Brick Blocks containing coins.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 4 coins in rows #4 and #6.
  2. The leftmost and rightmost coins in rows #3 and #7, for a total of 4 coins.
  3. The rest of the coins in rows #3 and #7, for a total of 8 coins.
  4. The 12 coins in rows #2 and #8.

Prior to March 18, 2021, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • Capsule amount is increased from 39 to 40.
  • All Empty Blocks are removed in this stage.
  • A shell is added in the middle of row #5.
  • The viruses in the leftmost and rightmost columns are replaced with floatie viruses.

Starting with 36 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all yellow viruses (20) and break all barriers (20).

In this stage, the yellow viruses are all found in undamaged barrels, each of them directly below a barrier. Between barrels, red and blue floatie viruses are found.

The last stage of the first area and starting with 36 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (17) and collect all purple coins (12).

In this stage, all colorful crates are wrapped in bubbles, with several of them floated upwards toward viruses. The initial three rows and the three rows after that also contain half-frozen coins and dust viruses. Brick Blocks do not contain anything.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 7 lines are introduced.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coin in row #3.
  2. The coin in row #2.
  3. The coin in row #1.
  4. The coins in the next three revealed rows, each revealed row containing one coin for a total of 3 coins.
  5. The 6 coins in the sixth-revealed row.

When cleared, the rest of the first area in the world map gets cleared of viruses. Players also obtain the Bony Beetle assistant upon completing this stage.

In this stage, the purple coins are arranged in a swirling line, with viruses, Brick Blocks (some containing hidden viruses), Capsule Plus and lock blocks within the swirl.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 7 coins in the first two rows.
  2. The first 3 coins in the rightmost column.
  3. The rest of the coins in the rightmost column and the coin in column #8, for a total of 3 coins.
  4. The first coin in row #8 and all coins in row #9, for a total of 6 coins.
  5. The rest of the coins in the first two columns, for a total of 4 coins.
  6. The rest of coins in row #3, for a total of 4 coins.
  7. The rest of the coins in columns #6 and #7, for a total of 4 coins.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (33) and collect all virus coins (12).

Above the bubble machines, regular viruses, fully-frozen viruses, Brick Blocks and viruses in bubbles cover the virus coins except the middle fully-frozen virus. Below the bubble machines, virus coins are found behind the viruses inside bubbles and Brick Blocks, in addition to a few other viruses.

Starting with 39 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (22).

In this stage, bubble machines forming a swirling line are found in the middle columns, with several half-frozen viruses within the "curves". On the two leftmost and two rightmost columns, half-frozen viruses are found among Brick Blocks. Crates are found between the columns with bubble machines and the columns with Brick Blocks.

This stage is shaped like a heart formed by crates and ice fans. Seven exploders are located above the ice fans, while some viruses within the "heart" are half-frozen and fully-frozen.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to collect all virus coins (5).

In this stage, Brick Blocks form a boundary that splits the stage into four quadrants, with the bottom quadrants containing barrels, all of them containing exploders. An exploder is located in between the bottom row of barrels. Four keys are found, with their respective doors in the topmost row of Brick Blocks. Flasks are hidden in the Brick Blocks in the leftmost and rightmost columns in rows #5 and #9, and an exploder is hidden in a Brick Block in row #4 of the middle column. Viruses and floatie viruses are hidden in the other Brick Blocks. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either empty Brick Blocks or Brick Blocks with hidden viruses.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 13 lines are introduced.

In this stage, crates form a circle filled in a checkered pattern, with dust in between the crates. The dust in the middle covers a flask, while the others cover viruses. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either exploders or barriers.

In row #1, barriers are above the bubble machines and caged coins are between the barriers. Additional viruses and caged coins are located below the columns with viruses and coins. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either viruses, shells or exploders.

  1. The 4 half-frozen coins in row #2.
  2. The 4 coins in row #10.
  3. The 4 coins in row #1, in between the barriers.

In this stage, viruses are mainly found in the middle five columns, among four bubble machines and caged viruses and crates. Dust viruses can be affected by bubble machines to remove the dust and become inside bubbles instead.

In this stage, the objects form a rotational symmetry, except for the lock blocks and the cages. Exploders are each located next to two purple coins and diagonally adjacent to a Brick Block and two viruses. All Brick Blocks contain coins.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (38) and break all colorful crates (15).

In this stage, all viruses are locked behind cages in a checkered pattern, except for the middle where there is a blue lock block and the top middle where a red lock block is in a cage. Colorful crates and a yellow lock block are situated between viruses.

Starting with 8 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (45) and collect all purple coins (27).

In this stage, purple coins are placed in a cascading pattern, with a many of them half-frozen. Between the lines of purple coins, there are viruses and Capsule Plus arranged in "L" tromino patterns, with the pivot viruses being half-frozen.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coins starting from the last coin in row #9 to the last coin in row #7, for a total of 3 coins.
  2. The coins starting from the second coin in row #9 to the last coin in row #4, for a total of 6 coins.
  3. The coins starting from the first coin in row #9 to the last coin in row #1, for a total of 9 coins.
  4. The coins starting from the first coin in row #6 to the second coin in row #1, for a total of 6 coins.
  5. The coins starting from the first coin in row #3 to the first coin in row #1, for a total of 3 coins.

Starting with 39 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (13), collect all purple coins (17) and collect all keys (2).

In the middle of the stage, a shell is in the same row as the red and yellow lock blocks, and a blue lock block is found in the top row in the middle. Some of the colorful crates and the purple coins are half-frozen. In addition, crates are found in the leftmost and the rightmost columns.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 6 coins in rows #4, #6 and #9.
  2. The 4 coins in columns #2 nd #8.
  3. The 2 coins in row #1.
  4. The 5 middle coins in row #2.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to collect all coins from Coin Blocks (24) and break all crates (27).

In this stage, several bubble machines are located in the odd-numbered columns, most of them half-frozen. Exploders are found in row #6. All Brick Blocks contain coins. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out exploders.

In the final stage of this world and starting with 37 capsules, the objective is to eliminate all viruses (61) and collect all keys (3).

In this stage, the middle column contains viruses, keys and lock blocks inside bubbles. On the left and right sides in the beginning, crates, a few Empty Blocks and a few half-frozen bubble machines form a path containing viruses. After the stage scrolled up far enough, there exploders and doors in cages, along with several viruses above Empty Blocks.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 7 lines are introduced.

Once it is cleared, the remaining area of the stage map gets cleared of viruses, and players can access World 14. Upon completion, players earn a free Staff Ticket.

Within a 70 second time limit, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (34) and break all colorful crates (30). The colors available in this stage are blue, green, and pink.

In this stage, colorful crates arranged in a checkered pattern, and are found in barrels except for the bottom-most row of colorful crates. Viruses are found between the gaps of colorful crates.

Completing this stage awards the player 500 coins.

Within a 70 second time limit, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (14), collect all purple coins (21) and collect all keys (3). The colors available in this stage are blue, green, and pink.

In this stage, the leftmost and rightmost keys and doors have columns of viruses between them, while the middle key and door have crates between them. In the other columns, purple coins in rows of three and colorful crates in rows of three are placed in alternate rows.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 3 coins in row #8.
  2. The 3 coins in row #7.
  3. The 3 coins in row #6.
  4. The 3 coins in row #5.
  5. The 3 coins in row #4.
  6. The 3 coins in row #3.
  7. The 3 coins in row #2.

Completing this stage awards the player 500 coins.

Within a 90 second time limit, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (36) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (21). The colors available in this stage are blue, green, and pink.

In this stage, the ring of barrels contain viruses, and the ring of dust contain barriers. Barriers in dust will not switch on or off. All Brick Blocks contain coins.

Completing this stage awards the player 1000 coins and a Staff Ticket.

Starting with 45 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (13) and collect all keys (35). Unlike the rest of the special stages which have the available colors of pink, blue and yellow, the colors available in this stage are red, blue and yellow.

In this stage, keys are blocked by different things before the doors. In the lower rows, the doors are half-frozen. The following rows have hidden doors in Brick Blocks. Colorful crates are between the keys and doors in the next rows. The following rows have barriers between the keys and doors. Near the top of the stage, doors are locked behind cages with its corresponding lock block at the corner.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 7 lines are introduced.

Completing this stage awards the player 1000 coins and Dr. Fire Luigi.
