Appears in Super Mario Bros. Monogatari (1989)

Nippa is a Koopa appearing in Super Mario Bros. Monogatari, being Bowser's only daughter in the novel. She is a Koopa with a bow with hearts, dark hair, thick eyebrows, eyeliner, and lipstick, and though she does not appear to be romantic, she sees herself as a lady. She longs to be like the Little Prince riding a white horse.

Nippa is one of the three children of Bowser in the novel, the others being Ippa and Zappa.

Names in other languages[edit]

Language Name Meaning Notes
Japanese ニッパ[1]
Nippa
Portmanteau of「ニ」(ni, "two") and「クッパ」(Kuppa, "Bowser"), likely in reference to being the second-born child of Bowser's family

Notes[edit]

  • Nippa bears a great resemblance to Wendy, with the main differences being the spots on the bow, the lack of hair, the thickness of the eyebrows, the "lipstick" being her lips, and the presence of spikes on her shell. Nippa and Wendy also both share the status as being the only daughter of Bowser.
