Ippa is a Koopa appearing in Super Mario Bros. Monogatari, being Bowser's eldest child in the novel. He is a sneaky and dishonest Koopa who wears a boxing outfit and has dark hair, and takes pride in bullying the weak. At one point in the novel, he captures Princess Peach under Bowser's command.

Ippa is one of the three children of Bowser in the novel, the others being Nippa and Zappa. His name, hairstyle and outfit reference the character Ippo Makunouchi, protagonist of Japanese boxing-themed manga Hajime no Ippo.
