Playing Dream Platform

Dream Platform is one of the unlockable Dream Events in the game Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. In it, the players jump from a flying ship 10,000 feet in the air above the ocean. The goal is to score as many points as possible on the way down and to reach the end as quickly as possible. There are several Item Boxes identical to the ones in the Mario Kart series which give the player power-ups, as well as floating rings that, when fallen through, prompt the player to press a certain sequence of buttons within a time limit to perform tricks, which gain the player points. Obstacles come in the form of brick blocks and red flying robots known as Flappers that subtract 500 points if collided with.

Missions

Amy

Dream Platform is Amy Rose's second mission. To win it, she must pass five rings and enter the water first.

Luigi

Luigi's third mission is Dream Platform. To win it, he must destroy six blocks by ramming into them, then he must enter the water first.

Sonic

Sonic the Hedgehog's fourth mission in the Wii version is Dream Platform. To win this mission, Sonic must reach a speed of 170m per second, and he must enter the water first.

Trivia

  • Dream Platform is the only Dream event from the Wii version that does not appear in the DS version.
