World 16-1 is the first level of World 16 of Super Mario Challenge from Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS.

Course layout[edit]

At the start of the level, there are three Bumpers with two coins above each one and a ? Block containing a winged Super Mushroom above the center one. Soon afterwards, three Bumpers, 5 coins above each Bumper, a Pink Coin replace the center top coin, and a Red Koopa Troopa carrying three Piranha Plants. After a bit, the player encounters a Big Red Koopa Troopa, which the player can use to break Hard Blocks and get the second Pink Coin. The player then uses the nearby Bumpers to get higher. The player then needs to cross a gap using Bumpers with the third one on a track. If failed, the player can retry from the beginning or try to get on the third Bumper. After crossing the gap, the player can hit a ? Block containing a Super Mushroom by jumping on a Bumper. The player then crosses a gap using Bumpers in a valley-shape form while avoiding a Big Piranha Plant from an upside down Warp Pipe. A few Piranha Plants on Hard Blocks are here, though they can't be interacted with. Afterwards, there is a downward slope of five Bumpers. After this, a Red Koopa Troopa on a bridge with two Bumpers can be jumped on and its shell can get many coins and the third Pink Coin. Then, two Bumpers on tracks appear above Spike Traps and around the final Pink Coin. Soon, a Key Door appears which, if the player found all four Pink Coins, can be opened and reward the player with many coins and two 1-Up Mushrooms found in ? Blocks before the player goes back through the Key Door. After the Key Door, there are two Bumpers on circular tracks which they player need to climb to a Warp Door. After taking the Warp Door, the player will need to cross a gap using four Bumpers on tracks while avoiding Grinders. If the player falls down, the player will land on a bridge, and the player can use the Bumpers go to either side, with the right side having the Goal.


  • Goomba - Go through a Key Door and then reach the goal.
  • Bowser - Collect all 200 coins and then reach the goal.
