A tall variety of Gargantua Blargg[1][2][3] appears in Yoshi's Island DS, and they can destroy colorful rock platforms, which are the key indicators of their presence. As with the regular variety of Gargantua Blargg, Yoshi can throw an egg at it to temporarily stun it. The tall variety appears only in the levels Yikes! Boiling Hot! and Number Ball Special, and they belong to the giant-enemy exhibit in the Island Museum. In Yikes! Boiling Hot!, one appears at the end of the level, past the Hot Lips and near a Stork Stop and under M Blocks. They can break the rock the Stork Stop is situated on to deny Yoshi access to it. In Number Ball Special, one appears in a lava-filled room behind a locked door requiring a key to access.
