From the start of the level, the Kongs must jump in a Barrel Cannon to be shot in a Mine Cart. The cart will suddenly begin to move once accessed, and the Kongs will need to ride in the Mine Cart along a straight path. Throughout the beginning part of this level, the Kongs will not see many obstacles or broken areas. In order for the Kongs to grab the letter K, they will need to hop over a small gap with their cart. Later throughout the level, the track will become more rickety and broken up. They will have to hop over a few small pits and then ride down a large hill to find the letter O. After they pass the letter, they will travel up another large hill. The hill will soon curve downwards, and the Kong must jump off the trail to the next track to prevent them from falling. Afterwards, they will need to race down another hill and move along a small, broken area of the track, and fall onto the main track again. Soon, they apes will find the Star Barrel on a short track.

From the start of the level, the monkeys will have to jump into a nearby barrel and be shot to a mine cart. The cart will suddenly begin to move once accessed, and the heroes will need to ride along a strait path. Throughout the beginning part of this level, the monkeys will not see many obstacles or broken areas. To grab the letter K, however, they will need to hop over a small gap with their cart. Soon, the track will become more rickety and broken up. They will have to hop over a few small pits and then ride down a large hill to find the letter O. After they pass the letter, they will travel up another large hill. The hill will soon curve downwards, and the monkeys will need to jump off of it to the next track before falling. Jumping to the track after that, they will need to race down another hill and move along a small, broken area of the track, then fall onto the main track again. Soon, they apes will find the Star Barrel on a short track.
Halfway throughout the level, the Kongs must travel up a long, safe track. The track will progressively become more dangerous, as the Kongs will need to jump over two broken Mine Carts near an abyss and one at the curved road. After the Kongs hop over a few more broken areas of the track, they will need to hop over another mine cart and ride sown a steep hill to find the next cart. When they jump over the Mine Cart, they will then be greeted by the level's first Krash. Donkey and Diddy will have to jump over the foe and head over a few more gaps in the road. Soon, they will ride up a track filled with some twists and turns. There, they will need to leap over two Krashes, then land in a safer area. After the Kongs cross a small gap, the area will become more dangerous with another small gap with a broken Mine Cart near it. The Kongs will need to carefully avoid the hazards to grab the letter G. Once the area is passed, the Kongs need to hop over a few more small pits until they reach a short, crooked track. When they get on it, they will have to quickly hop off before riding into a large abyss below them. After this, the Kongs will need to avoid another Krash and also have to jump onto two more crooked tracks, while jumping off rails to avoid landing in an abyss. Once this area is complete, the Kongs ride up a large slope and speed down. As the Kongs ride, they must avoid two Krashes by jumping over them. Soon, the Kongs will run into an area with many platforms and broken tracks. They must hop on each small track while dodging the broken Mine Carts on them. Once the Kongs get out of the area, they will ride along a long, curvy path. Near the end of it, they will have to avoid the level's final Krash to reach the exit to go to the next level.

After this, the monkeys will avoid another Krash and also have to jump onto two more crooked tracks, jumping off as quickly as possible to not land in an abyss. Once this area is complete, the Kongs will ride up a large slope, then speed down. As they go, they will meet two Krashes to jump over. Soon, the heroes will run into an area with many platforms and broken tracks. They should hop on each small track and also dodge the broken mine carts on them. Template:Level Mine Cart Carnage is the seventh level in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance game, Donkey Kong Country. It is also the second level in the Monkey Mines area.

Taking place down a mine shaft, this is the first level in the game where the Kongs must pilot a Mine Cart, jumping over gaps and buffers on an old, rickety track. After the midway point, Donkey and Diddy Kong must also avoid Krashes, the cart-riding Kritters who charge at the Kongs, attempting to knock them off the track. One of those Krashes will appear at the very end of the level, right before the exit, so the Kongs must remain focused the whole level.

Although this level is encountered earlier in the game, Mine Cart Carnage is often considered harder than Mine Cart Madness, the fifth level in the Kremkroc Industries, Inc. This level is also longer than Mine Cart Madness and one of the longest in the game.
