Template:Character-infobox Genesect is a mythical Bug/Steel-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Black and White Versions. It is an ancient Pokémon revived and modified by Team Plasma in order to serve as the most powerful Pokémon, installing a laser cannon on its back in the process, which can have specific drives installed into it that change its appearance and the typing of its signature move Techno Blast.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, it can be spawned from a Poké Ball and attacks by using Techno Blast, which involves it firing four small laser bursts before following it up with a large beam. The beam is significantly stronger than the bursts, and both attacks can pass through walls. While it is available by default in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is is unlocked by playing Endless Smash for the first time.
