Mettaur

Template:Species-infobox Template:Wikia, also referred to as Metalls, Mettools or simply Mets, are a recurring enemy in the Mega Man franchise. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Mettaurs appear as enemies in the Smash Run mode. They behave like they do in their series of origin, firing three bullets in different directions in front of them before retreating underneath their helmet. While they are hiding under the helmet they cannot be harmed by any attacks, though they can still be grabbed and thrown.

A familiar foe from the Mega Man series, these guys are pretty distinct with that big yellow helmet. It looks a lot like a hard hat from a construction site. It's pretty great protection–you can't really hurt these guys until they look up from under the helmet. The Cactuspy and slippery New Met are pretty similar. |

Trivia
- The trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U claims that the enemy it depicts first appeared in the original Mega Man game. While it is technically true that Mets in general debuted there, the Mets in that game were legless slug-like robots, with the design used in Smash Bros. being based off of later models, such as the Neo Metall, which in fact first appeared in Mega Man 2.
