"The Big House in the Sky" is the second mission of Rainbow Ride in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The objective is to reach the roof of the Big House.

Layout[edit]

The player first has to take the first magic carpet towards the four spinning platforms, then they should take the carpet to the right. After passing the obstacles on its path, the player needs to take the next carpet on the right before the one they are on falls. The carpet passes through the upcoming platforms, so the player has to jump over them to avoid getting pushed off and then quickly return to the carpet before it disappears. The carpet passes through the Big House twice, with a flamethrower spewing fire out toward the center of the room. Once the carpet brings the player up to the roof of the Big House, they can collect the Power Star.

In Super Mario 64 DS, Mario can also use the Power Flower located in the Big House to transform into Balloon Mario and float up to the roof.
