"The Manta Ray's Reward" is a mission of Dire, Dire Docks in Super Mario 64, where it serves as its the fifth mission, as well as in Super Mario 64 DS, where it serves as its seventh and final mission. The objective is to swim past 5 of Manta Ray's bubble rings to obtain the Power Star.

Layout[edit]

In the first area of the course, there is a Manta Ray circling about halfway down underwater. The Manta Ray drops bubble rings as it swims, and the player needs to go through five of them. If the player misses one, the counter will reset. Once five consecutive bubble rings have been passed through, the Star appears above the whirlpool in the center of the area.
