Variant of Bullet Bill

Bullet Biffs[1] (originally known as Gira[2] or Gina[3]) are a species of Bullet Bill found in Sarasaland in Super Mario Land. They look like ordinary Bullet Bills but have rockets on their backs. They can be defeated with a single stomp, earning Mario 400 points. They are found only in the last two kingdoms: the Easton Kingdom and Chai Kingdom. Bullet Biffs are fired out of Turtle Cannon-like objects known as Pipe Cannons,[3] which pop out of pipes in intervals much like a Piranha Plant. The Bullet Biff that comes from a launchpad travels with a perfectly straight trajectory as usual, but it also moves at a higher speed than an average Bullet Bill. Pipe Cannons can be used as a stepping stone to reach high areas. Bullet Biffs are also fired from Roketons if they are passed by, where they are shot diagonally towards Mario's direction.

  • Instruction booklet: Gira is a missile that takes off straight from a launch pad. Mario can defeat it by stepping on it.
  • 3DS Virtual Console manual bio: Bullet Biff is a determined missile that launches in a straight line. Defeat it by stomping on it from above.
