A Small Urchin[1] is a miniature sub-species of Urchins that first appears in New Super Mario Bros. 2. Unlike normal Urchins, they do not have a mouth.
Small Urchins appear only in World 3, and unlike regular Urchins and Big Urchins, they are always stationary. Small Urchins can be defeated with a Fire Flower, Super Leaf, Gold Flower, or Super Star.
