It's amiibo training time!
It's amiibo training time! is a 3 part story, appearing in Nintendo Extra issues 3 and 4. It was released as a part of Nikki's Diary, taking up 3 out of 6 episodes. The story, told from the perspective of Nikki (a character from Swapnote), documents her training a Yoshi amiibo for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and having it fight Panda's amiibo and Cat Mario. Each issue contains a video of the battle.

Issue 1[edit]
On Wednesday, Nikki's friend, Panda, shows her a Mario amiibo and tells her about amiibo functionality in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. On Friday, Nikki gets herself a Yoshi amiibo, and has it fight Panda's Link amiibo. Yoshi amiibo loses the battle. Nikki then decides to train her amiibo for a future battle with Panda.
Issue 2[edit]
She trains her amiibo throughout several days. On Saturday, her friend Cat battles her with his amiibo. On Monday, the Yoshi amiibo leveled up to level 50, preparing for a battle with Panda. On the next day, Panda gets beaten by another mysterious player.
Issue 3[edit]
On Wednesday, the mysterious player is revealed to be Cat Mario, who challenges her to a battle. Nikki ends up winning on the next day. On Friday, she becomes good friends with Cat Mario, who says he wants to play again soon.
